Swedish naturalist by name; Carlus Linnaeus, identified the Drancunculus medinensis in the merchants who traded along the Gulf of Guinea (West African Coast) inthe 18th century. Hence named the Dracunculus medinensis as Guinea worm. Thus those suffering from the worm got it from Gulf of Guinea.

infected drinking water, the pathogen called dracunculiasis -- meaning "affection with little dragons".
Buy a new cage becasue then your guinea pig can get worms. Use a GUINEA PIG spray don't use normal guinea pig sprays becasue suprisingly it can hurt a guinea pigs eyes. Give your guinea pig an injection for worms becasue if the guinea pig has been in the cage long becasue this can put a guinea pig in agony. If you don't want to treat your GP then why did you buy an animal you wouldn't risk money for.

Yea it hurts like he'll! The worm slowly burns it's way through your foot! And takes weeks to come out..
No. Guinea pigs are one of the most over-populated species of animal. Everyone should adopt a guinea pig to avoid them suffering. Please save the guinea pigs!
Guinea worm disease is only transmitted by drinking stagnant water with Guinea worm larvae in it. As such, if you avoid drinking stagnant water from the few remaining Guinea worm endemic areas you are not at risk. If you do need to drink stagnant water from these remote areas, simply filtering your water through a cloth filter will remove the water fleas that carry the larvae.
None - or very few. Virtually all deaths caused by Guinea worm stem from secondary infections. With under 200 cases worldwide this year, it is almost certain no one will die as a result of Guinea worm.
Guinea pigs live where rats do, I think. and they're domestic so they are in many homes as pets
You always die from guinea worm. <-- Not true! Guinea worm CAN kill you, but it is rarely fatal. Most people do not die, there is a one in thousand chance. If you have guinea worm, and that's why you're reading this, I want to give you a link so that you can see the symptoms--you might be overreacting. Hope that's the case, as although you probably don't die, it is apparently super painful, plus there's the thought of a dead male worm in your intestines--Yuk!!! Well, here's the link:

NOTE: I said there is a one in a thousand chance of dying, but that is not 100% true, but still!!! Say you have guinea worm. Just remove it--PROFESSIONALLY! CALL A PRO, I DO NOT WANT TO BE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR AMPUTATED LEG (Just Kidding!)--and you should be fine save some pain.
Hope I helped! Thanks for reading!
No, not unless you eat the guinea pig, and I don't think your going to do that... :D
