How do you stop a Gymnastics rip from hurting?
So far I have not discovered any method to completely stop a rip,and I get them about 2 times every week. The one thing I can tell you to do is put some Neosporin on a band-aid, preferably a special shaped fabric one, then put that on your rip. If you are planning to continue bars with the rip or even if it just needs something more to keep the band-aid then I suggest having a tape grip. if you don't know what it is your coach will probably know, but it is basically athletic tape wrapped around your hand to keep the band-aid in place. Hope this helped!

What stretches do you need to do for a split?
Great stretches to do are the runners stretch and straddle. In runners stretch work everyday until you can put your elbows on the ground and see a clean line down your body. In straddle stretch to both side but do not round your back. Keep it straight so eventually you can put your chest flat you your leg. Another great stretch to do it get in a split position (right or left leg in front) and bend your front leg so that your foot is under you. Try and Bend your back leg up and grab it with your opposite hand and stretch it.
Also, when practicing your split if you are not all of the way down keep your knees completely straight so you can stretch out the muscles and tendons around your groin.
Happy Stretching!
Are all uneven bars made from fiberglass and wood?
I am a level 6 gymnast, and I know that uneven bars are made out of wood and that the supports are made out of metal and metal wire. _____________________________________________________________________________________ I am a level 8 gymnast in Australia, and I know that all the new bars are fiberglass on the inside and wooden on the outside (this gives the bars bounce, rather than the solid oval wooden bars they used to use, and allows you to do release elements and circles/giants etc.). The supports are metal, to provide stability.

In trampolining how big does a trampoline have to be?
you can get a trampoline in any size, , , usually sizes start at 8 ft. and go up to 17-18 ft. (circle trampolines) rectangular trampolines do give u much more space, but cost much more. Remember that to keep your trampoline in the nice shape that it was when u bought it invest in a cover for it. Saves it from bird poop, easy removal of leave, and water making it rust. You can round Trampolines and Rectangular Trampolines. The Round ones start at 6ft, although more normally 8ft, and go up to 10ft, 12ft and 14ft. There are also 13ft and 15ft versions manufactured, but normally as a price confusion tactic by multiple retailers. the rectangular ones start at around 2m long and go up to around 5m long. The round ones are better for general family use.

What do gymnasts do in their routine?
girl gymnasts work on each separate of four events, polishing old skills during the competition season, learning and braving new skills off-season. bars takes a lot of abs and pain tolerance sometimes (your hands get quite sore from all the rips), while beam takes a lot of nerve and balance. vault is all about power and timing, while floor works your stamina and speed. most gymnasts also have a conditioning time, when they push their muscles harder than ever to be able to do their moves easily. at my gym, we work on the events for two or three hours, and most conditioning usually takes up an hour.

Gymnastics requires extreme strength to weight ratios. Gymnasts are generaly short because of the physics governing fulcrums. The longer a boom or crain is the more weight has to be on the short side as a counter ballance. Hold a broom or pole out horizontally (parallel to the ground) is much harder when the pole is longer and eventually impossible if it were long enougn. somebody Archemedes (I think) once said "Give me a lever long enough and a fulcrum on which to place it, and I shall move the world." In this case he would obviously be on the long end of the lever but it demonstrates the principal. I myself can probably curl maybe 150 pounds but if my forearm was say 4 inches long (a horrible thought) I could probably curl more like 600 pounds.
