He protects the dead from gods who wish to further punish a mortal even after death and he makes sure that the living never disrespect the dead.

cerberus is the three headed dog, fluffy, from Harry Potter and the sorcerers stone that enjoys music. it is also the same three headed dog from Percy Jackson and the Olympians, the lightning thief, that enjoys playing catch.

Almost the only person Hades liked was his stolen wife, Persephone. He also liked the dead souls in his kingdom, because he thought that the more people that were in the Under world, the more power he would possess.

It is a symbol of his rule of his dead, and more then that it can be disribed as a three-forked spear, or a staff, that takes living bodies down along the buried road to the Underworld and was mentioned in the myth of Persephone.

The symbol(s) that most people will associate with Hades would be the helm of darkness and his three headed dog Cerberus .

Hades does not believe that the other gods will help him search for the Helm of Darkness, so he doesn't tell any of the other gods that it is missing.

Hell is a Christian allusion to the realm where Hades ruled: it is also still sometimes called Hades and means Hell.

He ruled the dead and Underworld gods, so likely he enjoyed that for all that mortals perceived him as gloomy and frightening; he was also very wealthy as the god of treasures unearthed. His wife was Persephone, who he desired as his queen.

He didn't like evil people, as he not only punished the dead ones with unending tasks but the Underworld was home to many avenging deities. As to his dislikes, he is said to be greedy for the dead so if someone happened to escape death by healing, as was the case of Asclepius who he protested the actions of and who Zeus slew to appease.

I'm gonna have to against what the "expert" answered on this one, Hades had an assistant his name was Charos the angel of dead, his job was to transfer the souls of the dead in a boat over the river Acheron from the world of the living to the world of the dead.

Hades does not have any demigod children, but there isspeculation he may be the father of Melinoe, goddess of ghosts, but the father may be Zeus, who disguised himself as Hades to make love to Persephone, Hades wife.
