Do hawks and falcons mate together?
I asked the question because I think they do. I saw a ball of feathers coming down from the sky it was hit by a car in front of me. The ball was about the sizes of a large softball. When it hit the car feathers flew everywhere.
I heard eagles mate in the air. The ball was smaller then an eagle or hawk so that pretty much leaves just a falcon. I have seen them in our area near Colorado Springs. 4/28/11
Where can you get a red tailed hawk?
You have to go through training and obtain a falconer's license before you even think about it. They're not just exotic pets, they're amazing creatures that can't be just a house pet. Get in touch with a falconer and take some classes. If you're still interested, that person will point you in the right direction. Other than that...without a license, it's HIGHLY illegal.
As an adition to the responce above after you have your falconer's licence you are allowed to catch your own.
You can get them from a nest.
Why are hawks and falcons enemies?
Usually, they don't, as owls are primarily night hunters, while hawks are abroad in daylight. Plus, birds of prey usually don't tackle species that can do them harm in the attempt.
Not really because a hawk usually flies and lives in nests. The coyote must be very lucky in order to catch a flying bird but if he does then the coyote will eat the hawk.
