The middle part of the hot dog I would refer to as the meat or the meat filling.
There are approximately 242 calories in a hot dog, 5 grams of fat, 44 Milligrams of cholesterol, 670 milligrams of sodium, 18 carbohydrates, 0 grams of fiber or sugar, 10 grams of protein, 1% daily intake of vitamin C, 3% daily intake of calcium, and 13% daily intake of iron.
Unique Pretzel Bakery Inc.
The oldest commercial pretzel manufacturer in the U.S. is Sturgis Pretzels in Lititz, PA.
There are probably at least 100 thousand hotdogs consumed on the Fourth of July in the United States of America, because they are at a festival and that is a popular festival food. And, then, inculding everyday snacks of other countries, probably about 10 thousand. So, probably about 110,000 to my predictions.
$1.59 plain or $1.99 for a one of their specialty hot dogs.
A Chicago Hot Dog is a steamed all beef frankfurter served on a poppy seed bun and topped with:
No ingredient can be deleted, nothing can be substituted and nothing can be added in order to remain the genuine article. The worst culinary sin is to ask for ketchup.
I live in Georgia. I just moved to North Georgia from South Georgia. I have checked prices in Florida, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, and Tennessee. They all range from $2.00-$4.00 depending on the store. I usually purchase the ones that are 98% fat free and are 100% beef. They are delicious and only 40 calories per dog. I purchase them from Walmart and usually pay between $2.50 and $2.99 for a pack of 7 hot dogs.
werp ;,mhgfcvkjtfbu because its a hot digity dog
Hot dogs are also called Wiener dogs, because 'Wien' is the German name for Vienna. Vienna is the home to Vienna sausages, which are made of a mixture of beef and pork. However, in Austria these days, the hot dog is most commonly called a Frankfurter.
If you're making proper sausages on a barbeque then yeah, it's pretty easy to burn them :') but if your doing the americn hot dogs in a pan of water then not really, they just expand and burst their skins :(
actually if you start eating hot dogs daily and for 10 or 20 years, you can develop high blood pressure, and kidney tumors... If you dont believe then go ahead and start eating hot dogs as much as you like.... and see what happens
yes it can
Yes, Burger King sold hot dogs. They came in a neat little styrofoam box. I'm not sure when, exactly, they decided to stop... or if they served them at all Burger Kings, but in North Conway, NH you could most certainly order a hot dog at the local King in the mid-80s.
Sodium nitrite is actually the chemical added in hot dogs, not sodium nitrATE. Sodium nitrite is added to pork and other meat products as a preservative to allow it to remain fairly pathogen-free on its way to distant markets. Not all kosher hot dogs are nitrite-free, so you have to look at the ingredients. Most hot dogs have sodium nitrite, though.
The problem with nitrites is that they are converted to nitrosamines in the body...and nitrosamines are very carcinogenic. The simple reason why we don't get cancer after eating a hot dog is because we have DNA repair and regulation mechanisms in our cells that prevent cancers and DNA damage. However, over time, as damage accumulates, those repair mechanisms break down and become less effective, leading to increased probability of cancer.
Meat processing companies have been (for years) mixing in this pink sludge as a meat substitute in their low end meats like hot dogs, bologna and ground beef. This was actually some big news story a while back. Pretty much, you don't want to be eating that stuff, ever. You should go to a real butcher and get decent sliced meats and dogs. It costs more but at least it's real meat.
This is one of those things where a scientist could say the mass consumption of this pink sludge has led to certain health problems but the time and energy it would take to LEGALLY link health problems to the meat companies would make it nearly impossible.
yes there is "rat hair" in hot dogs. they don't put the best parts of the animals in the hot dogs they, throw in some chemical additives, maybe a little sawdust. Then when you consider that they reportedly can legally contain limited amounts of rat hair. so yes it is true they can add "rat hair" in hot dogs.
Most hot dogs are precooked, you can eat them right out of the package. If yours is truly uncooked, then I wouldn't eat it. If it is like most others and it really is cooked, then it should be fine (as long as the temperature in the car was at 40 F). You might want to go ahead and heat it up to 160 degrees F, to kill off any bacteria.
I wouldn't eat them after 30 minutes out without cooking them thoroughly again.
German Americans brought the US the weinerwurst, German for Vienna sausage, which eventually became shortened to wiener. Other German immigrants referred to smoked sausages as bundewurst, which is German for dog sausage. By the late 1920's, these were bing used in in open air cooking events.
