Nothing will happen to your horses if you don't take care of them everyday. They will simply not age. Be aware that your account will be deleted after 90 days of inactivity, though, so log on once in a while.

If the horse is over 25 years old and not immortal, the horse will start losing a bit of its health everyday, which is natural, you can prevent this by making him immortal, or using a black orchid.

If the horse is under 25 years old, it is most likely because you are feeding him incorrect amounts of fodder, making it over/underweight. Follow the instructions and the warnings when feeding your horse.

It is one of the newer breeds on Howrse, introduced through (if I remember correctly) the lottery promo. It's just another breed.

Do not work with it, so he will not age. When you get a Philosopher's Stone, probably through promos or exchanges, then you can add it to that horse, so he will live past the age of 25 without losing health.

Yes, you can get them through promotions if you are lucky. Or you can save up your monthly passes and buy one from the sales.

Generic potentials impact how much skills your horse can gain. It shows the top 3 skills, which are necessary when bluping.

You can find instructions to them in many Mods' forums. There are three secret pages, and you have to the find the one corresponding to your objective.

You go to Community>Directories>Players> and below there is a button that says "See today's birthday's" You would then click that and then there is the list of birthdays for that day. You need a Black Market Item called Apollos Lyre. There you can edit the name of your horse and add images such as crowns, hearts and more.
