After having a surgery several years ago I was prescribed vicodin for a short period of time and just this past year was diagnosed with hypothyroiditis so it is possible to take vicodin safely with an under active thyroid but check with your doctor(s) to see if it is safe for you.

Vicodin already has acetaminophen in it! It is a combination of hydrocodone and acetaminophen. You should not take more acetaminophen with Vicodin, as it can cause serious liver damage. Vicoprofen is the drug that contains hydrocodone and ibuprofen.

Lortab is a mix of acetaminophen, a synthetic analgesic, and hydrocodone, which is a opioid derived from codeine. Thus, there is NO connection whatsoever to cocaine, which is derived from the coca plant.

So, no. You cannot test positive for cocaine from taking Lortab, or any other medication, really, as there is no medical use for cocaine beyond some clinical use for ENT surgery.

More than you can even imagine. I caution anyone taking this medication to use it cautiously and, moreover, SPARINGLY. Chronic-Pain CAN be dealt with and this medication should ONLY be used as a last resort. I grew up NEVER touching drugs; graduated college Magna Cum Laude (not bragging!) and, ultimately, this medication landed me in prison for 4 years. You may think it's "fun" initially but it leads down a VERY DARK PLACE! While there are those of us - sadly, myself - who could tolerate ungodly amounts of this drug (30-40 ten mg's pills/day and still function albeit not as well as I presumed), I've personally witnessed people die from MUCH lesser amounts! Laugh or heed this warning: DON'T GO DOWN THIS PATH! Like all its "Opium-Based" cousins, it's prescription Heroin and NOBODY, ultimately, survives this addiction indefintely...despite what they may say or claim. It is NOT a drug you can abuse forever and, well LIVE. Again, if just ONE person heeds this, then this post was worth it. Yes yOu can definitely snort it the other night I snorted 20mg of focalin and 10 minutes later I was pretty high. I was watching avatar wile playing with my hair lol then after about 30 minutes I took 2 hydrocodone and snorted another 20mg focalin im only 135 lbs and 5'6 I'm a sophomore in high school too so my advice don't snort more than 20mg maby bc this stuff keeps you up for hours upOn end I snorted a total of 40mg and poped a total of 4-5 hydrocodone that night Im am surprised I lived

You can mix Celexa with liquor but be aware of the fact that the side effects of Celexa could be intensified. I wouldn't recommend mixing Hydrocodone with Celexa due to the depressing effect of Hydrocodone on the CNS. It can be done but it's recommended that your doc monitors the dosage on both. Alcohol and steroids are mixed often. If you are taking an oral steroid I would be careful as both alcohol and oral steroids are passed through your liver which can cause liver damage/disease.

I do not recommend taking any controlled substances while taking warfarin unless you ask the doctor. There is no such thing as plain hydrococone. It comes only in different combination tablets and liquids. You would need to know the other ingredient(s) and make certain that they have no blood-thinning properties.

The problem here isn't with the opiate, hydrocodone, but rather with the acetaminophen (Tylenol) that it's combined with - as in Vicodin. You see, the acetaminophen becomes very toxic as it slowly oxidizes (rusts?) in the presence of air - actually, it's the oxygen in the air -. Even in a sealed prescription bottle enough air was let in at the pharmacy to slowly begin the process of OXIDATION.

no the test nowadays can tell the difference between all opiates. ie. methadone(Diskets, Dolophine, Methadose). hydrocodone(lortab,lorcet,vicoden,norco,vicoprofen). oxycodone(OxyContin,Roxicodone,Percocet,Percodan,Endocet). morphine(Avinza, Kadian, MS Contin, MSIR, Oramorph SR, Roxanol). hydromorphone(Dilaudid, Hydrostat, Palladone) and others not even worth mentioning

i think that if he told u he was unhappy after takin the pills then he lied when u were the love of his life. vicodin relaxes you and makes you feel good, so he was probably more apt to be truthful on the pills then off. sorry but i think u were his problem, not the pills

I don't know if this helps but Hydrocodone is created by adding an atom of Hydrogen to an atom of Codiene than that is mixed with the acetaminophen more commonly known as Tylenol. Hope this add on helps.

Hydrocodone is 6-8 Times stronger than Codeine. So it deprends how much you take of either drug. For example: 10mg of hydrocodone is equal to 60-80mg of codeine (which would be approx. 2-3 Tylenol #3 (Tylenol with 30mg of codeine and 325mg of Tylenol).
