Are both lights out at the same time. Have you changed the bulbs and if you have they still dont work there is a relay and or fse for them in the fuse box. Check the fuse and see if it blown and check the relay and see if it clicks when you turn the lights on. If it dont click you might also have a bad switch for the lights

On a 1.1 GSI 2002 model, remove gear knob, remove gear stick cover, then lift up the round cover, inside where the rear cup holder is located on the centre console. Remove this screw, it has a 10mm head, then the console just pushes back from the front of the car, gently raise the console (its a tight fit), then disconnect the wiring connector to the lighter socket (this pulls off easily). Once you have manoeuvred the console out of the way look at the plastic cover located on the handbrake lever, the two halves can be separated by prising them apart, they are on a hinge at the bottom. Once the covers are separated then you can gain access to a 10mm nut, this is the adjuster mechanism. Take the pressure off the handbrake and slowly adjust this nut until the lever operates with the correct number of "clicks", when operating the lever.
