Although in some States tape recordings are not acceptable in a court of law, the judge will often listen to it in his chambers and can make the decision against the perpetrator of the crime. Short of that all you can do is talk to the Principle or 'top dog' of the institution about your concerns and that you want your child with another teacher. If he refuses then if possible put your child into another facility. Sneaking into a school now days and peeking into a classroom can get you arrested. If you suspect a problem witha teacher PLEASE go talk to the teacher if you feel that you still have problems go to the principal and contine to go up the chain of command until your problem is delt with.

Mental retardation may be caused by genetics, problems during pregnancy, birth problems, problems that may occur after birth, socio-economic deprivation and other accidental causes. If an individual has an IQ that is generally 70 or below with co-occuring deficits in major life areas such as communication, mobility, learning, self direction, etc., mental retardation may be diagnosed.

I have been working with mentally challenged adults for almost 2 years now. If you live in a big city, it should be easy to find a job working with mentally challenged, if you live in a smaller area like I do, it can be a bit harder. For one, try job finding sites.. like indeed.com. That is my favorite site to find jobs, very easy to use and a lot of job postings. I actually got my job by going to a highschool job fair my senior year, which would be a good place to look because they try to recruit you because it's such a good thing to do. There are many jobs that you can work with the mentally challenged, like the special olympics, group homes, ect. I work in a group home for mentally challenged adults to help them live as independent as possible and help them with tasks that they can't do by themselves. Now if you are talking about jobs that hire mentally challenged individuals, almost any entry level job. Remember the equal opportunity rule. I hope that gives you some insight. If you are looking for a job to work with the mentally challenged, just look around your area, there are businesses like the one I work for everywhere.

The best place for a 41 year old mentally retarded person is where their caretaker believes they should be. There is nothing wrong with an older person living with family, but if the family feels that they cannot provide adequate care, they should look into a home or hospital.
