Use the app store on you iPod/iPhone/iPad then go to the free tab or just watch free apps on iTunes the store doesn't have many but there is some free good ones

Try making sure it's charged first or try the reset feature first. If there really is a problem with it but it's jailbroken, the apple warranty is immediately gone and apple most likely will not fix it.

Edit: sorry about that i forgot to log in, but no there isn't an app that can tell what song youre listening to without a microphone. Its like a person with no ears trying to hear.

If you have dropped your ipod i the sink do not try and use it it will affect it worse first put in a bag of rice for up to a week . Or a very very dry room like close to the furnace about 4 ft away though. if still not working then check in the headphone jack shine a light in there and see if it is half red/pink <--- that means they'll know that it been dropped or exposed to water. it may work charge it and go directly under a light you may see finely the colors.

my ipod has done this and i can still use it just not easily as before I'm going to send it away to fix the LED light

In order to buy games and other apps for the iPod Touch, you need to install iTunes. You can install iTunes from the website: iTunes.com. After you install iTunes, you need to go through some steps, like 'naming' your iPod, and putting in some billing info, like your credit card number. If you do not have a credit card, you can redeem a gift card. Once you have done this go to iTunes Store and click the App Store tab. There, you will find many, many apps. Then, search for the game you want, click the 'Buy' button, and you can buy it. But, at this point, it will not be on your iPod...yet. You need to use the USB cord, plug it into the USB port, and plug the other end into the iPod. Then, under the 'Devices' tab, you click on your iPod (listed as whatever you named it), and click the 'Sync' button. Then you wait until, up at the top, it reads "iPod sync is complete. You need to install an emoji app like Spell Number onto your device. That will let you access a key board that has all sorts of symbols.
