I do not believe so. I tried using a headphones splitter with a mic, and just regular headphones. it did not work. also the mic just by itself didnt work. Although, you can listen to music on your ipod! i have a turtle beach x1 earforce, and 2g ipod touch. it might be different with other ipod/ headphone models! :D

Plug your iPod into your computer with the sync cable and click on the "Restore" button in iTunes. Your iPod will be set back to factory default settings meaning that your passcode will be removed. Unfortunately, all your content (such as songs, videos, and applications) will also be removed. Applications can be reinstalled from the App Store for free (you won't have to pay again) and your songs and videos will still be found in your iTunes library.

Plug your iPod into your computer, if it doesn't open automatically, open a new iTunes window. u cant i tried and if it is not loading hold the sleep and home button the turn it off this will reset ur ipod the plug it in for a while then try again. hope i helped :)
