So far, as far as I can tell, you can only equalize graphically music when you are in the act of recording it or converting it in iTunes. Apple has not implemented a useable graphic EQ for iPhone or iTouch. This is a terrible thing because all headphones require different EQ settings and the generic ones that come with the device are not adequate in any way. It does however have a built-in limiter which helps things a bit so right now the only way to equalize these things is to go test drive as many different headsets as you can and find one that actually sounds decent.
Also, for those of us who require more volume, seems we are out of luck there unless someone makes a headset with a head amp built in to boost volume.

If you have the latest version of itunes, then by going to the shop and finding your podcast, there is a button under the picture saying 'subscribe'. To get the music off you MUST have the software, Apple doesn't let iTunes being new music in from iPods.This is free and requires no software downloads. Go to the control panel, Appearance and personalization, Folder options, the View tab and then under Advanced Settings there should be an option to show or hide hidden folders. Show them, then open My Computer, go to the Ipod and then go to the folder called ipod_control, then to the folder Music. In this folder there should be some more folders called things like F00, F01, F02 etc. These contain your music, which you can copy like a normal folder.
