IQ tests are standardized for age ranges. You divide the age of the test subject into the 'age' he tested as normal for and multiply by 100 to get IQ. For instance if you are 16 and test as having the knowledge of the average 20 year old then your IQ= (20/16)*100 = 120
Added:
Not only the knowledge of the older person, or younger person, but the abilities shown on the G laden portion of the test, the part of the test monitored by a stopwatch. Such things as reverse span, counting off a series of numbers backwards, mental reaction time, know how old someone is, say, born in 1934, and rotating objects in space, pattern comparison.
An average IQ is around 100. Anything beyond that is a plus. Some people, geniuses or close to geniuses, have an IQ of 180.
Added:
Generally, 130 or above.

What is the normal IQ for 5 year old?
The normal IQ for a 5 year old should be no different to that of an adult. The test would simply be adjusted to suit a 5 year old.
IQ is a "Normally Distributed random variable" meaning that it follows a bell curve. This curve is centred on 100, meaning that 100 is the average value for all people. The standard deviation is 15, meaning that 95% of the population is meant to be within 70-130 for their IQ. 111, therefore, is a slightly-above-average IQ test, however, IQ tests are subject to error, and depending on the questions, you could get a different score next time.

Can you convert MAT scores to IQ scores?
If you are able to determine the IQ of a cross section of people (through an IQ test) who have taken the MAT, you can develop a cross relation between MAT scores and IQ. Assuming that the relationship is almost linear (or an invert - if you consider people like me, who don't do well in tests!) you can predict the IQ of people on the basis of their MAT scores. Though the results may not be as accurate as a discrete IQ test, the indicators should be sufficient to determine probable IQ.
Hope this helps
