The green light in the instrument cluster means that the exhaust brake is on, which is a good thing if you drive mainly in the city. the exhaust brake allows you to elongate the life of your brake shoes or pad by using engine exhaust as a brake.

Mine was on the frame rail about midway. about where the box meets the cab. . Probably pretty rusty. Mine was replaced a year ago and looks bad already

An NPR diesel uses a 15w-40 weight oil in most applications. Gas engines use 10w-30.

Yes, but heating oil is not taxed and is therefore illegal to use in an on-road vehicle. It has dye in it, and if you are ever stopped and they find dye in your tank, the fines are pretty hefty. While you might get away with it in your personal diesel vehicle, a commercial rig like an NPR might be under a bit more scrutiny.

you should be able to isolate a bad wheel bearing by having the vehicle on a lift or if at home jacks to lift front first then rear of vehicle and feel for top and bottom of tire movement and then spin each wheel and listen for a metallic scrub sound. a good bearing will be quiet. If need be remove brake calipers and pads at each wheel to elimnate being fooled by brake pad normal scrub noise as wheel is spun. good luck!

The 2001 Isuzu Trooper has the most common hook-end wiper arms. See the Sources and Related Links section below for installation videos. Also, purchase the replacement blades first and there will be additional instructions/illustrations on the replacement packages. Locate and press the tab or button where the wiper blade is inserted into the hook of the wiper arm and pull wiper blade out of hook. You may have to rotate and flex the blade to make enough clearance for the hook to pass through.

most 6 cylinder engines except Ford have firing orders of 1-5-3-6-2-4.

For mechanical time take of your distributor cap put your #1 piston all the way up on the compression stroke(TDC). Point your rotor button at the #1 piston . Disconnect the vac advance. reconnect everything use a timing light to fine tune it the light hooks to the #1 plug and the Battery. the timing marks should be on the crank pulley/ harmonic balance Just aim and turn your distributor until you hit what the book says. Good luck, and then reconnect your advance.

Need the year model.... It's like asking what's the valve adjustment for an isuzu.....Every engine has different spec's and procedures for the timing. If i knew the year model i could answer the question cause it would take 40 pages to explain all the procedures for every model year.
