You are referring to a Model 66. Depending on the condition, length of barrel and choke, it should bring between $125 and $200. These are frequently listed at www.gunbroker.com.

Value depends on the age, model, and condition. Typically a 20 GA is worth more than a 12 GA. If you know the serial number you can find out the age. A very old gun, with Damascus twist barrels, is in a different category than one made in the 30's, for instance, that is still very "shootable".

If it is in very good condition it is probably worth around $175 - $200. I assume that it is the Model 49 R Saddlegun, introduced in 1968 and discontinued about 1972. Retail price in 1969 was $59.95. Ithaca also imported a similar gun from Germany - the model 72, between 1973 and 1979. They both have a 15 shot capacity tubular magazine.

On my 1950s vintage Ithaca Model 37 16 gauge it is on the right side of the end of the receiver where the magazine tube and barrel go into the receiver, and also on the barrel adjacent to the number on the receiver. The numbers should be the same on both the barrel and receiver unless the barrel is not the original barrel, at least on mine they are.

Ithaca imported SKB O/Us between 1967-1979 (approx.) so if your local firearm regulating district demands steel shot (vs. lead) for waterfowl and other birds, you'll want to ensure that the barrels are capable of that.

Ithaca SN 68814 was manufactured in 1902 according to Ithaca Gun Company records compiled and released in 1960. It is a Lewis model if hammerless and New Ithaca Gun if it has hammers.
