Model 72 Saddlegun was a lever action .22 cal rifle made in W. Germany by Erma-Werke, AG, and imported by Ithaca between 1973 and 1979.

Ithaca made 382,000 of these between 1942 and 1945, but I don't know of a source for narrowing it down farther than that. Not sure about the serial number, as Ithaca was assigned serial numbers of 7 digits, beginning with 1,208,674 and ending with 2,693,613, but not sequential. Ithaca was awarded the only "E" for excellence in manufacture of these pistols of the 3 companies that made them for the military.

According to gun digest if its new in box its worth between 3000.00 - 3500.00. Trying to find someone who will actually pay that may be difficult. Realistically you should be able to get around 1200.00 - 1500.00. They didn't give any used values. They are rare only 1250 ever produced.

You have an Ithaca sxs Flues model and by your description a field grade. According to your stated condition and not knowing barrel chokes, or if it has a beavertail forearm or splinter forearm, staright or pistol grip stock single or double trigger, ejectors or extractors the latter being most common. Your grade is stamped on the watertable F is field S quality 1 special basically a field grade with a couple of extras of quality. 500 - 1700.

You are referring to a Model 66. Depending on the condition, length of barrel and choke, it should bring between $125 and $200. These are frequently listed at www.gunbroker.com.

May be +P for hotter loads,used frequently in .38 Special firearms designed for them.

May also be for 9mm Parabellum.

Priceless! ... actually around $450 depending on condition, but they were made by Tikka of Finland some as early as the 60's, they are quality firearms for the price

Value will depend a lot on the condition of the gun, how tightly it locks up, whether there are any cracks in the wood, the "patina" of the barrels, etc. If in very good condition it would probably bring between $350 and $500.
