I believe they did... I haven't found much on it yet but I have one, from my father who who had it in the service back in the forties (or earlier). I'll post anything I find but so far I've heard they can be worth anywhere from a couple hundred to several thousand, depending on model, serial number and, of course, condition.

The collector value can only be assessed by a visual inspection & evaluation. Old Winchesters are very much like old classic automobiles... the graded condition and factory originality are the key factors in determining what they are truly worth.

Yfes, the company has reorganized after bankruptcy a few years ago, is now in Ohio. They manufacture a first-class Model37 pump in several configurations, in 20 and 12 gauge. The shotguns are all American-made, with fine machine work and very good quality. Worth a look.

this depends on the overall condition of the rifle, and it also depends on what gun sights came with it.

the previous price of 50 - 125 UDS is inaccurate, this gun was produced in the 40's and it is not that common, the model 51 is fairly easy to find but the 51m is not.

there is variations on the 51M but it is mainly with the gun sights.

I would estimate in today's economy that this gun could be worth as much as $6-10k for a really pristine one or could be worth very little, depending on condition and options like ejectors, barrel length (26" is common, 28" is rare), single trigger, etc. Condition is a big swinger on value. A beat up gun could detract many thousands from the value.
