Well, obviously, his impact in the music industry is legendary and his legacy in this world will continue on forever. But as far as what impact he on America, besides musically through his huge contributions to the Beatle's work, we should think about what impact he wasn't able to make because of his death. Who knows what the world would be like today had he continued on through his political and peace activism. He had some major plans for world peace, trying to accomplish it through music. He wasn't able to fufil his plans because he was taken from us. His impact on America may be simply on the aspect of music, but he did, at one point, have the Nixon Administration considering him a threat, that's pretty big, and just gos to show that the possibilities are endless when thinking about what impact he could have made.
