As far as most people know he didn't have any allergies.

Lennon sang in the school choir when a boy, but it was the arrival of rock and roll music in the 1950s that really gave him an interest in music. Also, in the 1950s Lonnie Donegan had a lot of success with skiffle - upbeat music played on, largely, home made instruments. It made people realise that playing music did not necessarily need expensive instruments. Lennon formed a skiffle band - he played guitar, although tuned like a banjo as his mother tuned it for him and showed him how to play banjo chords (the only ones she knew).

He said that the Beatles were 'bigger than Jesus'. Meaning more popular than Jesus, not greater beings. He wasn't saying it was a good thing, but commenting on the state of the Christian religion in the UK. It was misinterpreted in the USA.

What I heard is that John Lennon heard Elvis Presley's "Heartbreak Hotel" and wanted to be a rocker himself. In the movie "Nowhere Boy" which is a biopic of John's early life (the teen years primarily), he went to the theater with his mother and watched an Elvis concert. I can't remember what song was in the movie, but it wasn't "Heartbreak Hotel". The movie wasn't too accurate anyway.

Lennon never made a Christmas album. He made a Christmas single with Yoko Ono, "Happy Xmas (War Is Over)" b/w "Listen, The Snow Is Falling".

There was a Beatles Christmas album, compiled from the seven Christmas records they recorded for their fan club in the Sixties.

Ringo Starr recorded a Christmas album in the 2000s.

George Harrison would have attended Dovedale Primary School from approximately 1948 to 1953.

His wife was Yoko Ono who was with him when he was assasinated by a 'fan' in 1980. Mark David Chapman claimed he was a massive fan of Lennon and shot him so he could be always connected to him in a way, he is still in prison

John at first lived with his first wife Cynthia and their son Julian until he met Yoko Ono. He and Yoko were eventually married and they lived together with Yoko's daughter Kyoko (at times). When John moved to New York, he and Yoko lived together except for an 18 month separation in which John lived with girlfriend May Pang. John then went back to Yoko. They soon had a son, Sean whom John lived with until his death in 1980.

John Lennon played 9 instruments. He sang, played the guitar, played the piano, played the harmonica, the harmonium, the electric organ, the slide guitar, and a six string bass. The first instrument he ever learnt was the banjo.

Paul visited John quite regularly in the 1970s; Paul has said that it was him who persuaded John to go back to Yoko after the "lost weekend" and shortly after that, Lennon gave an interview to the BBC in which he said that he and Paul were fine - he also gave a sort of apology for "How do you sleep?" - which attacked Paul, saying that he realised now that the song was about John rather than Paul. It was the birth of Sean Lennon in 1975 that drew the two men closer as they both had young children.

Whether corn flakes were John's favorite food is debatable. In his solo years, John would often order corn flakes with cream as his breakfast when he stayed at hotels. But he often just ordered tea and toast. John maintained a macrobiotic diet during those years, preferring grain products to standard breakfast fare such as bacon and eggs. During the Beatles' era, John wrote two songs related to corn flakes: "I Am The Walrus" had one line about "sitting on a corn flake", and the song, "Good Morning, Good Morning" was inspired by a jingle for a British corn flake cereal commercial.

The evening of July 15, 1958, when she was struck and killed by a drunk driver, who turned out to be an off-duty policeman. (He was acquitted at trial.) Seventeen-year-old John had to go with the police, to identify her body. She was 44 years old.

John, who idolized Bridget Bardot as a teenager, finally met her in 1968.

According to Pete Shotten, John's boyhood friend, John told him, "I was so nervous that I dropped some acid before we went in and got completely out of my head. The only thing I said to her all night was 'Hello,' when we went to shake hands with her. Then she spent the whole time talking in French with her friends, and I could never think of anything to say."

As early as 1964 he had grown tired of the notoriety that came from being one of the Beatles; he told longtime friend Pete Shotton "I've sold my soul to the Devil", as a way of describing his dissatisfaction. It was easier to stay than go, though, until Yoko Ono convinced him he'd be happier walking away from the band.

Paul McCartney wrote 'Step inside Love' for Cilla Black in 1967 as the theme for her TV variety show. Cilla released it as a single in 1968 and it was a big hit and is one of her most well-known tunes. 'Step Inside Love' is still credited as by Lennon/McCartney

Sir Elton John has always been very private and thus, little is known about his childhood, but just bits and pieces:

He was born in Pinner, Middlesex and named Reginald Kenneth Dwight on March 25, 1947 to Sheilah Eileen (nee: Harris) and Stanley Dwight both in the music industry. Stanley was a trumpet player and played in smaller bands and both parents loved to collect records which introduced Elton John to all styles of music. At the age of 4 his mother encouraged her son to play piano. He attended Pinner County Grammar School until he left at 15 to pursue his love to become a rock star. His father tried to discourage this, but there was no stopping his son. His parents eventually divorced and Elton John struck out on his own.
