After he became king it was spelled Tutankhamun.

Because his father Akhenaten had previously changed the religion from moon (Amun) worship to sun (Aten) worship with only Aten to be worshipped. The country hated it. So when Tutank took the throne he took the name Amun to gain favour with the people or maybe because he preferred the older ways.

Well, there is unknown man E. He was put in a coffin alive and died screaming. He had no markings of spells on his coffin and was not mummified properly with lots of organs still intact. However we will probably never know.
