The KKK has killed white people. During the Civil Rights Movement, white people who supported the movement were killed as well.

Any organization like the KKK has to fund itself. No government funding goes to them.

So people dont know who they are, so they dont get charged with crimes when they do the racists things they do. The practice promoted fear and intimidated people.

There is no concrete evidence to suggest that John Wilkes Booth was a member of the Ku Klux Klan. Booth was a Confederate sympathizer and a fervent supporter of the Southern cause during the Civil War. His assassination of President Abraham Lincoln was motivated by his political beliefs and desire to avenge the Confederate defeat, rather than any association with the KKK. Booth's actions were driven by his personal convictions rather than any formal membership in the KKK.

Ohio has 2 groups who are quite active especially in 2006.

Tennessee has 4 small groups however they are small.

Texas has 3 groups there and two there are actually regional

One reason for the KKK's hatred of Jews is that Jews are supposedly responsible for the killing of Jesus, although that is inaccurate. Catholics are hated for many reasons by the KKK, but the simplest is that they believe that Catholics are loyal to the Pope and not the United States, which is simply stupid. Catholics use the pope as a to help them see what is right and wrong.

The KKK in my opinion where nothing more than bullies with no guts because they hid behind those sheets. The head of the KKK worse a red sheet for each division and the Grand Master wore blue. To me when a man (or woman) won't show their face for what they believe in then they are the devil on horseback! The KKK is down to only a few thousand members and fading fast (although they would have others believe they are as strong as ever.) They are also in Canada and my husband and I came across a meeting once by accident. My husband and I went to a local dam where we always went walking with our dogs and when we turned the corner to go up through the usual trail there was a man (without the sheet) with a rifle slung across his arms. He did have a T-shirt on with the big KKK in black. He leered at us and told us to get out! We looked behind him and saw a huge bonefire. We didn't argue the point!

The Ku Klux Klan has a strange ritual of Burning the Cross. This might be because the Satan didn't like the cavalry and crosses were a sing of the cavalry. Although, the Ku Klux Klan give an argument that they do it as the Christian Scots used to burn them to muster forces for war.
