Honestly, nothing. I'm a huge Nirvana fan but all of my love for his music aside, Kurt Cobain was a loser junkie. He rocked hard as hell and i dont think i have ever heard lyrics that are more poetic but he was a depressed heroine addicted loser.
Axl was mad at Slash because he quit Guns N' Roses. Axl offered Slash $ if he would stay with GNR, but Slash turned it down. Slash wanted to leave GNR because the two disagreed in creative differences.
no, Pixie Lott is a female singer, Kurt Cobain was the singer for Nirvana.
Not really. He wore an old pair of Buddy Holly-like glasses without any lenses for a couple of photo shoots and then for fun. But then threw them away when somebody told him that when he wore them he looked like his dad.
He definitely wasn't a practicing Christian but was in fact very interested in Buddhism. He even visited Japan because of it. All in all, he probably more hated the hypocrisy and hate that comes along with the love of God, but he in no means hated a higher power. I don't know, I wasn't him and I haven't read all of his journals. But judging from what I've seen, he was not a deity-hater
well, yeah, he drank a lot, even in Foo Fighters song "Friend of a friend" dave grohl mentioned about this:)
--Kurt wasn't a by definition alcoholic and Friend of a Friend by the Foo Fighters, is NOT about Kurt. Kurt was depressed and bipolar and with his stomach issues, alcohol never settled well.--
Kurt had a painful, mysterious stomach ailment while still alive. I don't think anyone ever quite pinned it down. He said in many of his interviews/writings that it was one of the reasons he decided to try heroin. Whether the stomach pain was really a reason, I don't know. I also seem to recall reading (somewhere) that he had scoliosis. Also, (something I read in "Cobain"...the Rolling Stone book) when he was young, about 5 I think, he was diagnosed with ADD/ADHD. I don't know whether you consider addiction an ailment, but it wasn't exactly healthy. That's all I can think of off the top of my head.
They didn't all die in a year ending in something in common they all died at the age of 27. As well as all having white lighters on them.
This is a rather complex question; if you want to get a good idea of him, you could read his journals, which are available in the form of a book, which is probably at your library. The journals have a lot of his songs while he was in the process of writing them, including the original lyrics to "Smells Like Teen Spirit".
Kurt Cobain didn't like school at all. In fact, I think he hated it alot. He managed to pass through high school but that's it. He was very very creative and especially artistic. He was offered an art scholarship but refused. The reason he hated it so much was because he was sick and fed up with all the "macho" people. He hated them the most because he would always be bullied up and teased because he wasn't like them and also because everyone knew that Kurt had a gay friend, and that gave other people at school the accusation that maybe he was gay. And people at his school weren't too kind about gay people. But because of things like that..It made Kurt passionate about gay rights.
This is what Kurt said in an interview: "I'm definitely gay in spirit," Kurt told The Advocate in 1993. "If I hadn't found Courtney, I probably would have carried on a bisexual lifestyle."
Kurt Cobain is said to have smoked a few different brands through the years, including Winston Lights 100s. However, in his later years, he either hand rolled his own or smoked American Spirits in the dark teal blue box. A pack of American Spirits appear near his body in the crime scene photos taken by the investigating officers at his suicide.
No. After Kurt Cobain's death, the remaining members of Nirvana broke up to continue playing music separately. Dave Grohl formed the Foo Fighters, and more recently Them Crooked Vultures. Krist Novoselic played in several bands including Sweet 75, Eyes Adrift, and Flipper, but has focused mainly on politics.
The use of expression is most important when performing on stage. The key idea to remember is to exaggerate facial expressions, as when audiences watch, they are watching from a distance, so they need to be sure what it is you are trying to express. The trick here though, is not to look silly when trying to exaggerate. Watch actors closely, they have to develop this as a performer. Just get some old movies, like Elvis Musicals or even 'Gone with the Wind'. These movies show over acting, but also the subtleness required when expressing on stage. Apply your new knowledge and I am sure you will do a great job.
Not sure what guitar, but Butch Vig mic'd the guitar cab with 4 mics: a Shure SM57, a Sennheiser 421, an AKG C414, and a Neumann U87. Kurt would pick which sound he liked the best.
Yes, he wrote both of them. The drums and bassline, however, may have been done by his bandmates, although Kurt would often write their parts for them as well.
