Momentum will carry the wave far inland, before the wave flows back to the sea. The momentum and the mass of water in motion does tremendous damage to property and can kill many people and live stock.

(II) if you are near a stream or channel , be alert for any sudden decrease or increase of water flow and for a change from clear to muddy water

(III) be especially alert if you are driving

(IV) whenever you are in the path of landslide or debris flow , move away as quickly as possible
