No real reason was given by Diane Neal or Wolf Productions why she left SVU at the end of season 9. However, she did return for season 12 and 13.

He found out she was cheating and was angry. He followed her back from the date when she told her lover that it was over for good and killed her. When 911 happened the next day, he cut off her hand, tossed it at Ground Zero and buried the body in an empty lot.

They also found out that he had taken the settlement money the family gave him, that he said he had donated to a victim's fund, and used to buy and engagement and wedding ring for his new wife (who he had met through a 911 survivor's group.).

In the season 9 episode Loyalty, part 2 (original airdate April 6, 2010), following the death of Captain Ross, Eames is named as Ross' replacement and her first assignment is to fire Goren, due to his suspicious behavior and lack of straightforward answers previously in the episode. Eames does fire Goren, than places her badge and gun on the captain's desk and leaves.

Well, it so happens that the USA Network has an announcement on their site that Goren and Eames will be appearing in their roles in the 2011 season of Law and Order CI. They're also announcing that this will be the final season, which will consist of 8 episodes. See the link below.

The character, Detective Lennie Briscoe announced his retirement from the NYPD in the season 14 episode called 'C.O.D.', originally aired 6/19/04. Following his retirement, Briscoe takes a job as an investigator for the NY DA's office in the series 'Law and Order: Trial by Jury'. After appearing in one episode of the series, the actor Jerry Orbach died of cancer at the age of 69 in December 2004.

Anne Walsh, I believe...check her version on Rhapsody...I think they used a portion of this ethereal rendtition...it was beautiful and a nice closure to an episode that might make one think religion is only the crutch of the crazy...but this song echoing in the moments of resolve reminded us that it still provides light for the lost.

The defence attorney was really the guilty one and goes to the roof of the building after Casey shows a video of her talking to the fiance. On the roof she confesses her love for the son. The son, in an atempt to stop her from jumping off said roof, moves closer to her. She then says that no one else can have him (to him) and throws them off the roof together where they end up on top of a car, dead. Hope that wasn't to confusing.

Lindsey Vonn, a big fan of Law and Order, appeared in final episode (#456) 'Rubber Room' as the character Alicia, an administrative assistant with the teacher's union. This episode involves a threat to blow up a school and the teacher's union is frustrating the investigation by Lupo and Bernard.

He starred in Law & Order SVU as Judson Tierney, half of a bank robbing duo named The Fedora Bandits.

USA Network has announced that the season 10 premier date is scheduled for Sunday, May 19 on the USA network. The site announces that Vincent D'Onofrio and Kathryn Erbe will appear in their roles of Bobby Goren and Alexandra Eames. The announcement also says that Season 10 will be the last season for CI.

Yes, Stephanie March will return for about 10 episodes in the new season and there will be a new female ADA.

The short answer is NO!! The law only states that all TV broadcasts in the US must be in DIGITAL format, not the current analog. Your old antennas will work, however you will need to have a digital tuner. If you google DTV transition you will find ways to get a coupon and where to find the tuners.
