Difference between intelligent terminal and semi-intelligent terminal in computer.?

A simple terminal is able to accept character codes (commonly, ASCII) and produce characters limited to numbers, figures and punctuation. Limited graphics (ASCII art) may be used to enhance the presentation. Dumb terminals do not use complex hardware such as microprocessors to function.

An intelligent terminal can, for instance, reposition its cursor to any point in the display and may allow editing of the presentation for re-sending. Intelligent terminals commonly use microprocessors to perform their functions.

A thin client, acting as a terminal, loads operating code from a server and then offers advanced functions beyond those of a "dumb" terminal without needing all of the code to be stored in the thin client's memory.

Introduce myself in a classroom?

Its depends on the situation

1. If your new to the campus then the way is...

tell about your name, your highest qualification, your area of interests, and if necessary tell some points about your personal life too.

2. If your already in the campus and new to a particular classroom ...

no need to tell your name as your in the campus students now what your are and hence skip the first thing in the above start with your highest qualification followed by your area of research and interest and some points about your personal life if you think it is necessary

But the thing here you should look in formals and look straight into the eyes of the students do not stand away from the students be as much close as to the students and with a little smile add humour so that students will enjoy the environment

What is the difference between model and framework?

Model: Intuitively, you build a model to represent "something", and that something could be a building, or some solution that you have in mind. In other words, a model is a simplified version of something so that you can better analyse or visualise.

Framework: It is not a model of something. A framework is a loosely defined structure of ideas, principles, methods, and people. The purpose of a framework is that if you need to build something, or solve some problem, you can use the framework as your guide, but, of course, you have to fill in the details in the model, in order to reach on a concrete solution.

The disadvangesof peer group?

A peer group is more than just a group of friends. Within a classroom, the peer group could be the entire class. Therefore it is nearly impossible, unless in complete isolation, to be away from a peer group. Each of us needs to learn those social skills to allow us to function efficiently with our peers. Looking at the disadvantages, a major is peer pressure. This is when some people feel forced to be someone they are not or do something they don't want to do due to peer pressure. Depending on your own ability to work within a peer group, criticisms can be hurtful. Criticisms can be constructive or deconstructive. We just need to be careful how we say things to and how we hear things from our peers. Criticisms help us learn. Competition. We are competitive beings by nature but competition can be both positive and negative. Positive in that we strive to be the best we can be; negative in that we can feel constantly inferior and always 'lose'. Again this depends on your own social skills. The success or failure of peer groups depends on the social literacy of each individual within that peer group. Being over sensitive to comments made by others, or falling into the traps of peer pressure (VERY easily done by our youth) can give us negative feelings and opinions towards peer grouping. Is there disadvantages? Yes of course, but like anything, you only get out what you put in.

Can learning be measured?

Yes, of course.

According to behaviourists, any positive changes in person's behaviour are observed to understand how much the person has gained of experiences and knowledge.

Why does Pascal's Wager suggest that it makes sense to believe in God?

Pascal believed that it made sense to believe in God. He said that if you believe God exists and He does not, then in the afterlife without God there is no punishment or reward, so you have lost nothing. If you do not believe God exists, and He does, then you risk being punished for eternity. If you believe God exists and He does, then you will be rewarded for your belief. Pascal just showed the logical argument for belief in God, it was safter to wager God exists because then either way (He does exist or He does not exist) you're safe.

Some religious believers do not believe Pascal's wager is a valid argument, by saying that it is not truly belief in God.

Pascal's Wager, of course, depends on there being only two choices - no god, or his God. This is called basing an argument on a "False Dichotomy", saying the range of choices is limited to two when there are more potential options available. Of the several thousand gods worshipped throughout human history it is difficult to imagine a process to choose the "right" one. Even more difficult would be the process to imagine how to believe in this deity - does it require circumcision, blood sacrifices, or dietary conformity. Also one would have to hope the deity chosen offers some sort of eternal reward, not all of them do. Another consideration would be the consequences of choosing the wrong god. Some of them are pretty testy if you make a bad choice. Too bad if you are wrong!

The wager's results then become:

1. If you choose a god with an associated afterlife and he/she/it exists and cares anything about you (another question) and you are right in your choice you may get your "reward" if you haven't ticked him off by not following all the rules or by just believing in he/she/it with the ulterior motive of getting a reward. Note that not all afterlife's are pleasant even for the "good".

2. In the same case as above, and you choose to ignore this god/afterlife package, you probably wind up in a comparable situation - maybe a bit worse, maybe a bit better.

3. If there is no god, no afterlife, no continuation and you wasted your time mutilating yourself and your kids, eating a restricted diet or giving your time and money to a ragtag bunch of shaman's, you've missed a lot in this life - the only one you've got.

4. If case 3 is true and you live a normal life with no effort made to believe in any god or follow any "divine" rules - you win.

Models of curriculum innovation?

There are two very well-known models of curriculum reform, namely

1. Donald Schon's Centre-Periphery model and

2.Havelock's Research, Development and Diffusion (R,D&D) model, which have been used in the United States of America and in the United Kingdom for many decades.

there is also a third model known as DACUM; an acronym for "Developing A Curriculum". this model was first developedas a joint effort by the Canadian Department of Manpower and Immigration and the General Learning Corporation, and later adopted by the Nova Scotia New Start, Incorporation which utilized the strategy for the determination of vocationalcurriculum content for disadvantaged adult learners as stated by Finch & Crunkilton in 1999.
