Zeppelins are a type of rigid airship pioneered by German Count Ferdinand von Zeppelin in the early 20th century, based in part on an earlier design by Croatian aviation pioneer David Schwarz. He can't use something heavy because its well known that he LOVES super slinkies and using a heavy pick on light strings makes the guitar sound smooth, and jimmy likes it dirty. Also when you solo like jimmy does you need something that will just sweep the strings. He plays fast, but isn't accurate enough to need a heavy or small pick. My best guess is probably a mid strength pick, probably dunlop or fender. Something above a .88 but less than 1.14

It's actually "All My Love", and it was written in 1979 by Robert Plant as a tribute to his son Karac, who died unexpectedly in 1977 of a stomach infection at the age of 5, while Plant was on a Zepplein tour in the US. The song appears on Led Zepplein's 1979 album "In Through The Out Door".

after jimmy page left the yardbirds he wanted to form a new band. he wanted terry reid for the position but he declined and recommended Robert plant. plant accepted and recommended his high school friend john bonham. john paul Jones contacted page because he heard that he needed a bassist. page accepted and the new yardbirds were formed. they later changed their name to led zeppelin.

On 16 May 1966, drummer Keith Moon, bass player John Paul Jones, keyboardist Nicky Hopkins, Jeff Beck and Jimmy Page recorded Beck's Bolero in London's IBC studios. The experience gave Page an idea to form a new super group featuring Beck, along with The Who's John Entwistle on bass and Keith Moon on drums. However, the lack of a quality vocalist and contractual problems prevented the project from getting off the ground. During this time, Moon suggested the name Lead Zeppelin for the first time, after Entwistle commented that the proceedings would take to the air like a lead balloon. Page went on tour with Plant, Paul Jones and Bonham as The New Yardbirds, but soon recalled the old joke by Keith Moon and John Entwistle. Page stuck with that name to use for his new band. Peter Grant changed it to Led Zeppelin, to avoid a mispronunciation of Leed Zeppelin.

Even though Jimmy Page owned Alister Crowley's mansion aka Boleskine House at one time, I'm pretty sure Led Zeppelin didn't really make a deal with devil. Crowley was an occultist, hedonist, used drugs was bisexual and a social critic (Born October 12, 1875 Died December 1, 1947). In other words pretty much like a Rock Star. That just adds to the mysticism. Then there is Zeppelin 4 aka Runes. To top it all off there is their sexual escapades and drug and alcohol abuse. They got so famous, so fast it had to be overwhelming. They could buy anything they wanted and had women throwing themselves at their feet. I was rather disappointed many years after the songs were coming out on the radio to find out that so much of their music was actually plagiarized. They added a new spin to it but nonetheless alot of their music was old blues, revamped. It kind of took the mysticism right out of it. They are now in their 60's, and are ageing just as badly as anyone else. That and the tragedies of Bonham's death, Plant's son's death and Plant being in a bad car accident leads me to believe that if they made that alleged "deal" with the devil, they received the worst end of it. Zeppelin is still one of the greatest bands ever and there is no denying their success decades after the band broke up.
