What i did was root with gingerbreak and install app2sd. (I have a 32gig memory card speed 4) their cheap on amazon. And i just leave most of my apps on there. Juat dont move your tezt messaging or launcher as this caused a ot of fc's for me and no notifications from messages

I have an LG Optimus U (US670) that had the same problem with the blinking logo, I was able to fix it with a hard reset.

NOTE: This didn't work the first time i tried it. I didn't work the second time either, or the third, or the fourth. Six times is the charm for me. So if it doesn't work, KEEP TRYING! Because, aside from sending your device in to be serviced, there really is not much else you can do. Also, removing the battery for longer periods of time each try might help.

WARNING! A hard reset will remove ALL information, contacts, apps, etc. on the phone and return it to it's factory default settings. AKA: Factory Reset. Anything on the SD card 'should' be untouched. But I can't guarantee it wont remove any information stored there. I suggest backing up anything you don't want to loose (if possible) before continuing.

Now that you know the potential risk, here is how to perform a hard reset:

1. Take the battery out for a few minutes, then put it back in.

2. Hold the Menu and Volume Down button for a second then press and hold the Power.

3. Follow any on-screen instructions.

This method supposably works on most smart phone models. But again, I can't guarantee anything, as I only have the Optimus. If it doesn't work after trying it several times, I suggest taking your phone back to your service provider and seeing if they can help or possibly exchange it. That is assuming you haven't done anything to your phone that voids your warranty (like rooting).

There's various reasons that may have triggered a password request when getting into recovery mode, even though you never sncrypted it. Assuming your phone operates normally when booted, but you just can't get into TWRP, you may have to re-flash TWRP through Android's Software Development Kit (SDK). If worse case is you cannot get into your phone at all ("bricked"), you can also use the SDK software to fix it. Consult with the walkthrough courtesy of XDA Developers (see Related Link below).

Go to the contact, press down on it and when the window pops up select, View Contact. Then at the next screen hit the Menu button first, then Options. T the top of the next screen it has Ringtone, hit that and the menu of all your music will appear, pick one :)
