I have listed below some steps to program the remote to your TV. Keep in mind the remotes are not guaranteed to work all types of equipment.
Addressing Remote to TV:
1.) Press and hold the clear TV button until all mode lights light up.
2.) Release and TV light will be blinking.
3.) Enter code and press #. The TV button should flash 3 times.
4.) Try functions (Volume, Power, etc..) and see if it is working.
5.) If no function, repeat steps 1-4 with another code.
with tv off....mute,1,8,2 then power on and disable hotel mode
Whoever answered this is incorrect. the above code sequence is for "Samsung" not LG. For LG try this: With remote press "Menu" hold down 5 seconds then enter number sequence 1105 then press enter or ok. This should bring up a service type menu. Follow the logic of the menu and turn off the hotel mode or reset the tv.
For my Sony universal remote, Goldstar code, 8006 worked!
Nope, it must be an LG brand and compatible with the series of TV. (the camera box will have a list on the back.)
A lot of people consider LG to be the standard for plasma televisions. They have a very clear picture due to their TruBlack Filter and Protective Skin Glass System.
LG is a global manufacturer of electronics and home appliances. Visit related link below.

Very very easy.
does your DVD Player ( Home theatre ) have a HDMI cable?
If it does, you can just buy an HDMi cable and connect it to Hdmi 1 on your tv and the other end to the Dvd Player and the sound a video will be very crisp.
Alternatively, you can use an AV cable ( cable with yellow plugs on the end) and connect it to an AV output on your tv and DVD player. If you are using only the tv's sound this will work, but if you are using a amp, etc. you can connect 2 RCA cables to the tv and the amp for the sound.

0591 is the code for LG's LHT854 DVD home theatre system. The code is for zenith, but it works for this lg model aswell.

In order to unlock the LG flat TV, you will need to unlock it by obtaining the remote control unlock code in the remote's pamphlet. Enter that number into the remote and the television will unlock.
An LG Smart TV costs between $500 and $900. Price depends on the size of the TV you want, which store you're buying it from and if it was on sale or not.
There are 2 HD Ready LG TVs in my household that have built in Freeview, but they're not working properly. The screen on both keeps getting big blocks of green, the video and audio are not what they're on external Freeview boxes.
I am only curious as to weather or not there is a fix because that is the whole reason why we got the TVs in the first place as well as having HD. I mean we have had the external Freeview boxes but they're a hassle and we wont what we paid for.
