How do recharge your 1998 Lincoln air conditioner?
Using a set of a/c gauges put the blue hose on the low side (suction side) and the red hose on the high side (discharge side) and make sure that there is no freon in the system and if you have freon in the system then you will have to go to an automotive a/c shop and have them reclaim it for you..
Put the yellow hose on your vacuum pump and let it run for about 1 hour and then let it sit for 1 hour so that you can see if it will at least hold the vacuum pulled.
If so then let it run for an additional hour and then start the recharging process remembering to keep the low side readings between 30 to 40psi and the high side between 200 to 250psi depending on the outside temperature…………….

Where is the coil pack on a 2002 Lincoln LS 3.9?
There are 8 coil packs or units on the LS V8. Each one sits directly over the sparkplug well, 4 wells on each of the 2 heads. To access them you must remove the rectangular, plastic cover on each head and you will immediately see the coil packs for each cylinder. The plastic cover is secured with 8 bolts and the one passenger side is pretty easy to remove, but the one on the drivers side is a little tricky, especially when removing the lower bolt that is at the back corner, against the firewall. The one in front of the oil dipstick is a little hard too, but gentlely push the dipstick over slightly to access the bolt. If you need to replace a coil pack or spark plug, disconnect the electrical plug to the coil pack, remove the retaining bolt, and lift it out. The sparkplug is then visible down in the sparkplug well and can be remove carefully with the correct socket and extension.

01 Lincoln ls code P0300 engine misses at 3000 rpm?
P0300 Diagnostic Code - Random Misfire
Symptoms.
Engine may stumble or miss
Engine may be hard to start
you may notice no issues
Cause
Failing spark plugs or spark plug wires
Bad coil or coil pack
Failing oxygen sensor(s)
Bad fuel injector or more than one
Stuck exhaust valve
Bad catalytic converter
EGR valve or valve passage clogging
Bad camshaft position sensor
Bad PCM or ECM
The Fix
Best first action is a tune up, new plugs, wires, inspect all hoses and wire connections then reset the code. If it returns you will need to narrow it down to a system, coils and coil packs should be tested, catalytic converters for function ( do you smell rotten eggs?). A misfire that jumps cylinders could indicate a lean condition, do you have any other codes along with the 300? this will help clue you in to the source, check valve function to make sure they are opening and closing fully.
This is probably pone of the most difficult codes to troubleshoot, so start with the basics and work your way into the more expensive options, in many cases a good old tune up solves the problem, back it up with a fuel system cleaning and see where you stand.
Basically this means that the the car's computer has detected that not all of the engine's cylinders are firing properly. A P0300 OBD code indicates a random or multiple misfire. If the last digit is a number other than zero, it corresponds to the cylinder number that is misfiring. A P0302 code, for example, would tell you cylinder number two is misfiring. Unfortunately, a P0300 doesn't tell you specifically which cylinder(s) is/are mis-firing, nor why. A code P0300 may mean that one or more of the following has happened: * Faulty spark plugs or wires * Faulty coil (pack) * Faulty oxygen sensor(s) * Faulty fuel injector(s) * Burned exhaust valve * Faulty catalytic converter(s) * Stuck/blocked EGR valve / passages * Faulty camshaft position sensor * Defective computercheck
* Check all wiring and connectors that lead to the cylinders (i.e. spark plugs). Depending on how long the ignition components have been in the car, it may be a good idea to replace them as part of your regular maintenance schedule. I would suggest spark plugs, spark plug wires, distributor cap, and rotor (if applicable). Otherwise, check the coils (a.k.a. coil packs). In some cases, the catalytic converter has gone bad. If you smell rotten eggs in the exhaust, your cat converter needs to be replaced. I've also heard in other cases the problems were faulty fuel injectors. Random misfires that jump around from one cylinder to another (read: P030x codes) also will set a P0300 code. The underlying cause is often a lean fuel condition, which may be due to a vacuum leak in the intake manifold or unmetered air getting past the airflow sensor, or an EGR valve that is stuck open.
How do you replace the cylinders on a 2003 Lincoln aviator?
Which cylinders? Engine? Brake? Something else?
You gotta tear the motor apart for those cylinders. Gotta take a lot of stuff out. Once you get the valve covers off than you have to pull the rocker arms and pushrods, lifters, pull the heads, unbolt each connecting rod from the crankshaft and pull the cylinder out... its a little work.
Brake cylinders could be master or wheel cylinders. Master is under the hood under the little fluid reservoir. The wheel cylinders are going to be in the drum assembly if it has rear drums, or in the calipers for disc brakes. You'll see the little cylinder when you pull the drum off. For disc brakes its inside the caliper. Easiest way is to shoot some air into the little hole on the back side of the caliper and it'll pop the cylinder right out. Don't put your fingers in between the caliper and the wheel cylinder, it comes out with some force from the air.
