What are hybrid clubs used for?
hybrids are clubs which combine the pros of both woods and irons. they give you the loft, distance, and accuracy of irons with the larger "sweet spot" and misshot forgiveness of woods. they are best utilized when the ball is in the fairway. if you are facing a shot needing the distance of one of the larger irons, use the hybrid because they reduce the risk of a misshot (if you can hit decently). do not use them in medium to thick rough because of their larger clubheads. this can really mess up your shot. stick with an iron for recovery shots from off the fairway.
The caddy is allowed to line you up on any shot, but must move away prior to you making the stroke. This applies to all golf not only LPGA.
