the questions of cosmetic ingredients are often kept as secrets. BUT it is believed to be some kind of fat.. not yet known if artificial or natural. Fat is suspected as this secret ingredient as it repels water.

well when i went to out door ed my naturalist told me mascara was made of bat poop. Guanine is a product that was once extracted from bat guano--they make it synthetically now--that gives a pearly look to all sorts of things. Mascara contains several basic classes of ingredient: colorants to make your lashes pretty film formers to keep it on your lashes waxes to make your lashes thick various other chemicals to keep it liquid, kill germs and all sorts of other useful things.

Yes mascara does come from a plant. The plant is from the Amazon rainforest and it is called The Mascareen Plant. It is pink but it has lots of pods which if you open has a black hard liquid inside.

Well, to start, nothings perfect :) But i'll answer the best I can.

What i tend to do is start by using an eyelash curler. This helps because your eyelashes will be easier to access with the mascara wand when curled. Then, using a mascara that is dark brown or black, and that guarantees "no clumps" or whatnot, open your eye wide and get to your eyelash roots and with every swipe outwards, shut your eye. so you start with the mascara wand at the eyelash root and work your way out. As you move the wand away from your face, slowly blink your eye. this always works for me :)

when i have trouble getting off my mascara, i put vaseline on my eyelashes with a Q-tip and then take it off with a damp warm cloth. I know it sounds kinda grouse but it works for me :)

use make-up wipes that specifically say on the back that they remove waterproof mascara. Also so you don't rip all of your eyelashes out (seriously) firstly place the whole wipe on your eyelashes and leave it there to soak for at least 2 minutes. This softens the mascara making it easier to wipe off. and don't forget to go up aswell as down your lashes so you don't have panda eyes in the morning!

well that's the age i started wearing my mascara, as long as you don't wear it to heavily a little bit is ok but layers and layers of it when your young it can be really bad for your skin. You wouldn't want to wear it too dark either , you might look like an 11 year old goth If its too dark. xxx

It depends on the mascara and how much use it gets. If your mascara dried out super fast and it is still under 6 months old you can put three or four eyedrops in the bottle, swirl around with your mascara wand, and it shouldn't be dry and you're able to use your favourite mascara again!

Well, this is my opinion. I think that you should just get black reg mascara, because they are already long why make them any longer. Get my point? I have long lashes so... That is what i use! :)

Try hairspray. Spray it on the stain. Rub the hairspray in. This may take a while and this might take a few applications of hairspray. Remember, the stain should be soaked with hairspray. If the stain has been there fore a while, there is a chance it will not come out.

Yes, but so is lipstick. This should not put you off using mascara. Toothpaste is made of seaweed and a particular brand of shampoo (which cannot be named due to copyright etc) uses EXTREMELY watered down urine. A lot of products we use in every day life have surprising sources, some of them off putting but none of them harmful.

Again, this varies from person to person, some may wear it everyday..or maybe just on special occasions. It depends on yourself. Like me, I don't usually apply mascara because everytime I blink, some of it tends to go onto my eyeshadow.. Instead, I use clear mascara because a) it doesn't smudge b) it's easier to wipe off and apply on
