Yes, it is easily 'workable'. hence the name mild steel..
It is the rate at which heat loss occurs from the surface of an object. It is either expressed in J/KJ/time unit or in deg C/time unit. cooling rate is an indicator to achieve desired mechanical properties such as hardness, conditions such stress-relieved etc.
Where does the name cheeseborough come from for the rigging clamp hardware?
From the NYC scaffolding company in the 1920's: Chesebrough Whitney.
What is the procedure to be adopted to establish the background of the fault?
The procedure to discover the background of the fault is called root cause analysis. This type of analysis takes the approach of finding the cause of a failure, instead of treating its symptoms.
What does KSI mean when it pertains to tensile strength?
It's a unit. 1 KSI = 1000 PSI. It is just used to 'neaten' the numbers: 70 KSI rather than 70,000 PSI for example.
What is Pittsburghh joint in HAVC duct work?
Refer to the SMACNA reference for metal duct construction. The Pittsburg joint is used for most commonly fabricated metal retangular ducts. Most modern sheetmetal fabrication shops use a mechanized piece of equipment to create the Pittsbugh joint on one edge of the sheet metal that is being formed into a retangular duct. The Pittburgh joint is basically a series of bends in the sheetmetal that create a female joint that will accept the male end of the rectangular duct. The female joint includes an extended section of sheet metal that is mechanically or manually hammered over the male edge of the sheet metal once it is positioned within the Pittsburgh joint. It is much easier to understand when viewing a piece of flat piece of sheet metal that is being formed into a section of duct with a mechanized piece of equipment found in most sheet metal shops. I have created a Pittsburgh joint with a manual hand break for specialized duct fittings.
I hope the information has been helpful.

Advantages of superplastic forming?
The major advantage of this process is that it can form large and complex workpieces in one operation. The finished product has excellent precision and a fine surface finish.
If you double the speed of centrifugal pump?
Centrifugal pumps generally obey what are known as the pump laws. These laws state that the flow rate or capacity is directly proportional to the pump speed; the discharge head is directly proportional to the square of the pump speed; and the power required by the pump motor is directly proportional to the cube of the pump speed.
How do you understand whether circulating pump is circulating water through economizer?
By measuring outlet temperature of water at downstream of pump and upstream of boiler.
it is a gauge where you test how fast u can pinch you fingers on it. oy
If sheet thickness is .5 mm what is the gauge?
Probably 25 gauge, which is .556 mm thick. However, 26 gauge is close too, it is .478 mm thick.
What material is used for making bolts?
Bolts are generally made of medium carbon, plain or low alloy steels depending on the grade (property class). Higher grades are usually made of low alloy steels. Some grades have small additions of Chromium or Boron.
What Equivalent to astm a325 bolts in din stadard?
439, 931,933 and 934 are equivalent to ASTM 325 bolts in DIN standards. 439 is another bolt equivalent to a 325.
The deeper part of the dermis is responsible for markings on our skin surface called Flexure lines. These lines are easily observed as the deep skin creases on the palms. Flexure lines result from a continual folding of the skin, often over joints, where the dermis attaches tightly to underlying structures. Flexure lines are also visible on the wrists, soles of the feet, fingers, and toes.
How do you account for friction loss while applying Bernoulli's theorem to the real flow?
Sum the friction terms for each element from which the friction results, including pipe lengths, elbows, flanges, fitting, valves, etc to get a total friction value K-total.
When input to the Bernoulli equation the friction loss will be:
ef=0.5*Ktotal*V^2
where ef is the energy lost to friction
Ktotal is sum of all the loss coefficients
V= velocity of fluid
The friction loss coefficient for a length of pipe is:
Kpipe= 16*f*L/D
where
Kpipe= pipe loss coefficient
L= length of pipe
D= diameter of pipe
f=the Darcy friction factor (not to be confused with the similar Fanning friction factor)
For turbulent flow the Darcy friction factor can be obtained from a Moody diagram (very simple) or via the Colebrook or Churchill equations (complex). For laminar flow:
f= 64/Re
where Re is the Reynold's number, an indication of turbulence.
Turbulent flow occurs at Reynolds numbers greater than about 2000.
Be wary of whether the f listed is the Fanning or Darcy friction factor: mechanical engineers use Darcy, chemical engineers typically use Fanning.
The Hooper 2K method can be used to calculate pipe loss coefficients.
See related links for a calculation form.
Why does a bi-metal strip bends?
A bi-metal strip consists of two metals that expand by different amounts when the temperature changes, so it will bend when heated.
Advantages of journal bearings in contrast with anti friction bearings?
Generally, journal bearings have higher friction factor, consume higher energy and release more heat, but they have larger contact surface, so normally used in low speed high load applications.
What is high side and low side in air conditioning?
High side and low side refer to the pressures in the two halves of the system. AC works by compressing refrigerant in the compressor ( the beginning of the 'high side'), cooling in the condensor it, and then expanding it to absorb heat ( where it enters the low side). Then the low-side piping takes is back to the compressor, where the cycle starts over.
Definition of moment of resistance of beams?
thats means load
In some countries (Greece for sure) by "moment of resistance" we mean Section Modulus, which is Z=I/y, where I: moment of inertia, y: distance from the neutral axis to the most extreme fibre
