Registration and buying the game are two separate things, unless you do it at once.

For registration, it is very fast to complete and all you have to do is fill in some basic info (like email, username, password and etc.)

For buying the game, you need to register first. After that, you have to fill in credit card data or other payment data (like Paypal). I think that it is pretty exciting to buy the game because of the anticipation of playing it.

So the answer to your question is... usually no

(unless there are problems, problems such as the servers to the websites being down).

For me it took apx 24 hours for me to be able to logg in and such.

i have minecraft and it cost me £19.95

go into the minecraft source file(windows=Run-%Appdata%-->.minecraft/mac=finder-->Username--> Library--> application support-->minecraft) then go to saves then your world and copy the level.dat file to the desktop. go to minecraft then put all items into your chest. save and exit, then quit minecraft.replace the new level.dat with the one on the desktop and there you go, duplicated items!

You need to convert logs into planks, then planks into sticks. Place however many sticks you want underneath the same amount of coal and you will get that many torches.
Assuming you mean torches, place a piece of coal or charcoal in the square above a stick.

Simply press the 'esc' key.

They are usually found deep down in the bowels of the game. You have to listen for the creepy music to come, and then try to track it down.

Tip: to stop them from spawning, put torches on every open space possible.

I believe that creative mode is the online version of minecraft that can be found on the website that does not require an account.

Actually, that's not entirely true. The version that you can find online for free is Minecraft classic - which IS a form of creative mode (as you can't die, and you have unlimited amounts of all blocks available), but it's very outdated and people don't refer to it as "creative mode".

Minecraft Creative is available in and part of 1.8 Beta with all regular blocks that you know from the current Minecraft version.

I don't play online, so i don't know how to switch to creative there, but when you're in single player this is how you get creative mode:

1) In single player, click on "create new world"

2) Choose mode "creative mode" instead of "survival mode"

And that's it. Very easy. :D

Yes all of those answers are correct, but they don't entirely answer the question. In single player you do select survival, hardcore, or creative mode, but in multiplier you must be and operator to be creative or an operator must set you to creative. The command for that is you type /gamemode (username) 0 for survival and 1 for creative. :D And there you have it!

There are no official System Requirements for Minecraft, although it is a very RAM hungry game. So, I would recommend at least 2GB RAM, a decent processor (maybe dual core @ around 2.5gHz) and a decent graphics card. Also, although not massively important, a decent HDD with plenty of free space.

Go to minecraft.net, register an account and pay for the game, and then download it.

There might be a mod. but I know you can play Minecraft Classic. It's outdated but free. You get unlimited blocks. You don't get the good stuff though. like Monsters, Lives, Animals, Crafting. But great for building things like megastructures

The previous information was incorrect, so here is what you can do. Minecraft has an enchanting system, and at level 28 of the enchantment table, your pickaxe or shovel will turn into Silk Touch if you enchant at level 28. Go outside, or where grass is, and harvest the grass with the pickaxe - yes, the pickaxe (with silk touch)! This will give you the grass block.

Well there are many ways of setting up a minecraft server. Some people use the basic method to just use the Minecraft Server Application found on The website of Minecraft. But for an advanced server where you can use plugins you have to use CraftBukkit. To find it go on Bukkit.Org. For the IP for others to connect is a bit complicated. The easiest way which even i use is to download Hamachi. When you install it. Hamachi will give u a generated ip. Put that Ip in to ur Minecraft Server.properties. The IP there. Then you and your server friends have to use that IP to connect. And Hamachi has to be on for it to connect.

On a Minecraft server, chat is always on. If one of your friends can't chat, then it is a problem on their end.

You take the whole stack, and right click the stack onto a free inventory, crafting, furnace or chest slot. This will remove one item from the stack, and can be repeated if more items are to be seperated.

You can't make them. They can only be found in chests in dungeons.

If you have the Mo' Creatures mod, then it's leather across the top, two iron ingots in the bottom corners, and one ingot in the middle.

If you have the Animal Bikes mod, you have to put 9 pieces of leather in a crafting table take the new leather, and make a helmet out of the new leather.
