You can't do anything with them.... yet, in later versions of beta notch has confirmed you will be able to craft them into something, what? I dont know but just hold onto them for now =)

to be able to build a mansion in minecraft you need to be able to imagine what you want to build and you can get the blocks once you are in creative mod or if you want to challenge yourself you can build it in survival or in hardcore

No you do not need to download minecraft classic, its browser based.

The full version however does involve files being stored on your PC.

what you do is press escape or Esc on your keyboard that will make minecraft pause. Then go to options the change to difficulty to hard wait for night then wait for something to kill you. After you respawn change it back to easy or peaceful or what you were playing on.

You need a pickaxe (any type of pickaxe works). Coal can be found almost anywhere, from inside caverns, cliff faces, and underground.

You need to convert logs into planks, then planks into sticks. Place however many sticks you want underneath the same amount of coal and you will get that many torches.
Assuming you mean torches, place a piece of coal or charcoal in the square above a stick.

There might be a mod. but I know you can play Minecraft Classic. It's outdated but free. You get unlimited blocks. You don't get the good stuff though. like Monsters, Lives, Animals, Crafting. But great for building things like megastructures

The previous information was incorrect, so here is what you can do. Minecraft has an enchanting system, and at level 28 of the enchantment table, your pickaxe or shovel will turn into Silk Touch if you enchant at level 28. Go outside, or where grass is, and harvest the grass with the pickaxe - yes, the pickaxe (with silk touch)! This will give you the grass block.

im not sure but if it say outdated laucher try to delete minecraft and then download it again if this doesnt work try to rename it to minecraft.exe or search on youtube

It is the same as survival, but the game is locked at the hardest difficulty, and you only have one life. When you die, you have to delete the world.

it can be complicated but you either need to put the cart on a slope and get in quickly, or you need to make power rails and put redstone torches next to them.

If you are using window's, then use the Run program, and type in %appdata% and then run that, and it will bring you to a file containing the .minecraft folder.
