What is Mitt Romney's current church calling?

The Church doesn't release this type of information to the public, and Mr. Romney hasn't mentioned anything, so it would be impossible to know unless you speak to someone who is a member of his home congregation. It's possible that he has asked to be released from all callings during the campaign.

What were the pre-election odds of President Obama being re-elected in 2012?

There was no sure way to predict how people would vote ahead of the election. There were numerous polls and prediction methods, but until the votes were counted, many people were still expecting a win by former governor Romney, and reports were that many of Governor Romney's financial campaign supporters were taken completely by surprise by the end results of the election. Polling was a very inconsistent method of prediction in this race.

Throughout the final weeks of the election cycle, the polls varied greatly, with some showing Mr. Romney ahead by as many as 5 points, and others showing a tight race with President Obama slightly in the lead. Still other polls showed the President with a quite significant lead. The polling in battle-ground states, like Ohio, consistently showed the president with a slight lead.

There were other types of predictions, such as the trading at Intrade (a world-wide prediction market). This was showing that President Obama had a very good chance. He was listed in October 2012 with a 73.7% likelihood to win, and this method of prediction continued to support his win throughout the rest of the campaign with only occasional temporary fluctuations.

Once the election had occurred, it turned out that the most accurate predictions came from the political reporter, Nate Silver, whose "538 blog" can be found on the New York Times website (see link in related links section). His prediction that President Obama would win re-election was correct, as was his prediction of the margin of victory. He was also correct about the specific battle-ground states that would support the president. He had created a complex system of prediction that proved to be a very accurate method in this application.

Note:

The Intrade site is the world's leading stock-trading-style market called a "decision market" (or "prediction market"). During the 2012 campaign, the market "traded" the likelihood of various people being the next president, in the same way people trade stocks. While certainly not a guarantee of accuracy, it proved a good way to see how people, who actually were willing to bet their money on an outcome (instead of answering polls, which can be skewed by the wording of the questions asked), predicted who the next President would be. There are ongoing trades in more political races and other types of predictions at the site (see link in the related links section).

Has Mitt Romney had a face lift?

In response to the answer in quotes below:

My guess is it is from the car accident in France, while he was a missionary. The officer arriving @ the scene pronounced him dead because of his injuries. Although he only broke his arm, something else at the time made the policeman think he was dead, maybe a head laceration...?

"I noticed yesterday that he had what appeared to be a scar running down the side of his face along the front side of his ear. It was a unique shot from an interview where the lighting was just right and it was after the main cameras had stopped rolling. Wondered if it was from a facelift. If he had on though, it was a pretty good one. He doesn't look all weird."

Mitt has for sure had a facelift and uses botox regularly as well...he has a completely expressionless upper face. And come on, even the most clean living people, which I know he is a mormon, so no booze or nicotine or caffeine, but even they have a few wrinkles by the time they hit their mid 60's.... and the same goes for Ann. They have no wrinkles, zero. I'm convinced they've had the best surgery available.

Why should Mitt Romney be president?

Because when the United States of America was with Barack Obama, over 700,000 American individuals lost their jobs to the Chinese. they lost their jobs to the Chinese because in America, you cannot pay an employee less than, well, i think its $7.45. but in china, they don't have those laws. so let's say the president of Walmart hires Mr. Ranapataflana in China to make clothing. if he is hired, and he lives in America, he has to pay $8 to Ranapataflana because it is illegal to pay less, but in china, it is different because you can pay whatever if they have a deal. (that's why you almost always see 'made in china" on things) so, what Mitt Romney wants to do, is, stop giving jobs to Chinese and to give them to Americans, and he will give a tax break to those businesses who DO employ Americans.

Also because, Mitt Romney has experience in keeping stuff running (whether it is a business's or nation) as you may know, Mitt Romney was the 90th governor of Massachusetts in 2002. Massachusetts was a terrible place at that time; it was LITERALLY FILLED with unemployment, businesses were going bankrupt, people lost properties and more. Mitt Romney made the place SO much better. LITERALLY, ASKER.
