Mount Everest

Mount Everest is in the Sagarmatha National Park.

Don't Think there's any number for that. Has to be thousands. It doesn't really get dangerous and unhealthy until you're at about 5000 meters altitude or more. Hiking below that level is generally fine.

Mount Everest, particularly the upper portion of it, is at a high elevation and therefore is very cold. It is never warm enough there to melt water, so any precipitation will fall in the form of snow.

Basically, slightly south of west (the Nile River is a long target), so even West-South-West may do.

Mount Everest has two Base Camps which are located at the bottom of the mountain. The camp on the South side (Nepal) is at a height of 17,400ft and the camp on the North side (Tibet) is at a height of 17,000ft.

Dale Abenojar became the first Filipino to reach the summit of Everest on the 15th May 2006.

It can take anything from 1 to 3 days to get back to base camp from the summit. A lot depends on how you are feeling once you arrive back at top camp after the summit. Some stay there for a night to rest, others come down to the camp below.

Some say they did, others say they didn't. Unless the camera they took with them is found somewhere on Mount Everest then we might not ever know. If the camera is found and the film is intact it may show photographs taken on the summit.

It was decided that Peak XV should be named as Mount Everest, after George Everest, the Surveyor General of India.

Millions of years ago India was separated from Asia. When the countrys started to move, India joined onto Asia. India pushed into Asia so hard that it pushed up a huge mountain range called the Himalayas,. India is still pushing into Asia to this day, which means that Mount Everest is still getting higher. As a result Mount Everest grows a quarter of an inch each year!!!
It is thought that the summit of Mount Everest started at the bottom of the ancient Tethys Sea, the motion of the Indian subcontinental plate and the urasian continental plate colliding, about 30 - 50 million years ago, caused the mountain to rise up and become the highest mountain on the Earth.

Not much has changed on Mount Everest over the years apart from the amount of rubbish that is left on its slopes and there are a lot more people attempting to reach the summit.

There isn't one.Not much grows above 5500metres and Mt Everest is 8000+metres.

To keep strong and healthy while climbing on Mount Everest you need to drink as much water as possible, it is recommened to drink around 4 -6 liters every day. The higher you climb there is less oxygen and your body will start to shut down, water is very important to look after yourself.

It is unlikely in the extreme that both (or either) of them reached the summit. While it is theoretically possible that one of them took the other's remaining oxygen supply at the Second Step obstacle, and continued on alone, the blinding snow squall that enveloped them at 2PM was far too fierce for their wholly inadequate clothing to withstand. The likelihood is that they turned around below the Second Step--a serious cliff at or beyond Mallory's climbing capabilities--and were caught in the squall. They slipped once at the site of Irvine's ice ax, found 9 years later. both survived but were separated. Mallory likely continued descending, searching for Irvine. But Irvine was actually higher up and traversed some 50 yds before he fell again and died of exposure.

Mount Everest height is 29,029 feet ( 8,848 metres) Mont Blanc height is 15,781 feet (4,810 metres).

So Everest is 13,248 feet ( 4,038 metres) higher.

In The 39 Clues, Book Eight: The Emperor's Code, Amy and Dan know that they have to somehow get to the top of Mt. Everest. Nellie, their au pair, solves this problem for them. She makes a phone call to an unknown person and convinces the pilot of a Ecureuil A-Star helicopter (one of the only planes capable of landing on the summit of Mount Everest) to take Amy and Dan to the top. So technically, they did not climb up Mount Everest, they flew up to the top.
