To get the Hydra scale, you must go to Posiedon and offer a starfish which you will find in the temples. Once inside, swim across the ocean. There will be a dark patch of water where you must dive into. Then, go through the maze and into the cave with the "gnarly monster" lies. When each head attempts to strike you, jump on it. This will cause the head to fall. Once all heads have fallen, walk towards the monster and take a scale.

In the maze there willl be one pearl which you must retrieve as it is another sacred item, the pearl of Poseidon. It is contained within a calm which will open and shut, so take it before the clam closes or you will be knocked away. (Of course this is a minor issue, as Poptropicans are immortal, which is quite nice, it just uses a cutscene to show yourself falling slowly until you hit the bottom.)

The fifth sacred item, a whisker from Cerberus, is the most difficult to get. Cross the River Styx (stand close to Charon, duck when the stalactite falls, jump immediately afterwards to avoid the floating skull, and jump again as soon as you see the alligator/crocodile head. Repeat [I believe] 5 times and you will see Cerberus. Play the song that you received from the Muse (called "Pipe Tune") and Cerberus will fall asleep.
