What do NASCAR drivers do if they have to use the restroom?

When NASCAR drivers have to go the bathroom they hold it in. A famous case would be Kurt Busch in the 2005 Daytona 500 and the end of the race he ran to the bathroom. Now if it's in an emergency they have to go in their cars, and this is where having a yellow fire suit helps. Now if it's more serious than a really bad wee then they better hope for the checkers or a red flag. I don't know about today [MUCH shorter race duration times], but in the "old" days, a few drivers who didn't want to "hold it," used a "relief tube." Relief tube is a common term for a urinary catheter. They got the idea from long duration solo pilots in the old days of aviation, with who relief tube systems were common. A urinary catheter system consists of a small tube which is inserted through the urethra into the bladder, which continuously drains urine as it is produced by the kidneys. The tube is connected to a catch bottle, sometimes worn attached to the users leg. As for bowel evacuation, I guess they just have to hold it, OR like the astronauts, wear a diaper, and hold off as long as possible. usually a driver sweats it out.

What is a spotter in auto racing?

A spotters job is to look out for the driver, tell them where all other cars are at on the track. They tell the driver where they can go (high or low) and alert them to when there is a wreck/caution on the track and try and help them get through or go around it. Since a driver's head is pretty much stationary, it makes it hard for them to look around and see this for themselves.

Who has the loveliest wife in NASCAR?

In my opinion, which is just that, Dale Earnhardt Sr's wife Teresa is by far the prettiest, classiest lady NASCAR ever has, or ever will see. No offense meant to the other ladies, because some of them come from some pretty solid backgrounds, and have made some guys some very precious babies, but Misses Earnhardt, has done a lot for the sport, and I don't know how many people really realize this. She taught Dale Sr. a lot about marketing, and publicity, which made him more popular, and, yes, more money. But, the more he made, the more NASCAR made, and his growth in fame, certainly pushed the growth of the sport. She was behind a lot of that. She gave him confidence, support, and, I suspect, good advice, on many occasion. From the way I hear it Dale Sr. was not the easiest man to be married to. Anyway, I believe that many of Misses Earnhardt's contributions will go un recognized, and somewhat taken for granted. She is a great woman, and not at all hard on the eye's, still.
