There really isn't an age that they go by but the driver has to be able to control the car good enough to race. Some drivers in NASCAR are 17 and 18 years old.

As a fellow Mainer, I felt obligated to answer this question as we have and continue to follow Ricky Craven's career. He did indeed drive the #25 Budweiser car for Hendrick Motorsports in the late 1990s (1997/1998). Formula one has less sponsors but more money, nascar has more sponsor less money.

Granted formula one has great sponsors and more of an international following but the competition is more about the driver than people think.

As far as team budgets go, it's definetly f1. the big teams have budgets from 100- 250 MILLION. with 10 teams, that's a ridiculous amount of money. I would disagree and say that f1 also has a far bigger following. sure, nascar is big in the us, but f1 is everywhere. it is the third most watched sporting event in the world, and nascar is further down the list. F1 has far more money. No question.

This is one of the most complex and clueless products I've ever seen. I bought one and STILL can't use it. It didn't come with instructions and the nozzle SUCKS bigtime. Yes, there have been several NASCAR races in recent years without 43 drivers. The Kentucky Speedway racetrack does not race 43 cars.

At the age of six, Busch was accompanying his father to the track and driving go-carts himself. As an underage teenager, he competed in Dwarf competition winning in just his second race, at the Las Vegas Speedway Park. This father and son team competed western tracks from Southern California to Utah. In 1994, his first full year as a driver, Busch won 10 consecutive races at 10 different tracks. A Nascar stock car would be faster, because a sprint car is normally driven around a small dirt track. So I doubt that sprint cars exceed 200 mph.

Dale Sr. was nicknamed 'Ironhead' due to his stubborn ways. When he first started dirt track racing, he wouldn't take advice from everyone.

Unfortunately this way of thinking helped lead to his untimely death. Dale never wanted to wear head and neck restraints, because they were uncomfortable and restrictive. Wearing the HANS device is now mandatory in Nascar.

They announced in early 2012 that they would withdraw at the end of the 2012 season. They did not give a specific reason but leaned to the slow economy. I believe they just simply could not find enough teams

to partner with and decided to take a break until a later date.
