The baseball Encyclopedia does not list a pitcher by the name of Tom Page (or Paige, either).

There was a Joe Page who was a well known relief pitcher for the Yankees from 1944 - 1950. According to the 1957 Little Red Book of Baseball, there was a pitcher named Page who pitched for New York, AL, in the 1947-49 World Series. He won 2, lost 1. Unfortunately, no first name is listed. I have a ticket stub for one of those games, when I research it, I will update with further info, if found.

December 23, 2005 I was at a Dentist's Office in Mission Viejo, California when a Senior Citizen was leaving the Building, we stopped to speak for a few moments when I asked about his occupation. He is now retired in Northern San Diego County. He told me back in the 1950's he had played baseball with the New York Yankees. His name was "TOM PAGE". I did confirm the spelling of his last name as I attended High School with a "PAIGE". I did not receive any additional information, but the gentleman seemed quite sincere and I believe he is the Tom Page who played for the Yankees.

Yogi Berra was the manager of the 1964 Yankees (won American League pennant) and the 1984 - 1985 Yankees. Yogi also managed for the New York Mets from 1972 -1975 (won National League pennant in 1973).

Mickey Mantle played for 18 seasons with the New York Yankees from 1951 -1968. April 17, 1951 the 19 year old Mickey Mantle broke into the big leagues with the New York Yankees wearing uniform number 6. After a bad start Mickey was sent down to the minors. He told his dad he was going to quit, and his father told him to pack his bags to come home. After a second thought to try again Mickey was then called up again to the Yankees, and was then issued number 7 for good. Mickey became the regular right fielder playing only a few games at shortstop and third base between 1952 to 1955. He moved to center field in 1952, replacing Joe DiMaggio, who retired at the end of the 1951 season. During the 1951 World Series Mickey tripped on a water drain in the outfield, a serious injury that affected his playing for the rest of his career. After years of Playing in pain due to all the leg injuries, Mickey called it quits after the 1968 season. As of the 2010 season, the Yankees team record for strikeouts by a pitcher in a season is 248 by Ron Guidry in 1978.

The Interlocking NY logo found on the Yankee Uniform and Hat was first designed by Louis B Tiffany in 1877, This was designed as a medal for the New York Police Department and awarded to the family of Officer John McDowell (The first NY Police Office killed in the line of duty). The Interlocking NY made it's first appearance on the uniform of the NY Highlanders (the Original Yankee club name) in 1909. This was worn on the left sleeve and hat. The NY logo was actually removed in 1917 and remained off for 20 years. The Yankees revived the NY Logo , placing it on the right side chest in 1936. It is still the uniform design today

The now iconic pinstripes on the NY Yankee uniform first appeared in 1912. They abandoned them in 1913, 1914 and brought them back in 1915. The pinstripes were never removed from the Yankee uniform again.

Casey Stengel and Joe Torre. Stengel managed the Brooklyn Dodgers from 1934 to 1936 and the New York Yankees from 1949 to 1960. Torre managed the Yankees from 1996 to 2007 and the Dodgers from 2008 to 2010.

The final game between the Yankees and Red Sox in the 2008 season was played September 28 st Fenway Park. The Red Sox won, 4-3, in 10 innings. Devern Hansack was the winning pitcher and Jose Veras was the loser.

I believe it was the Texas Rangers. Some time in mid-June. But the game was not played that day. There was a long rain delay and the game was called. Needless to say, some 10,000 New Yorkers with bats in their hands were not happy about that decision! Some stadium seats were "harmed".

Wade Boggs wore number 12 as a New York Yankee.
