NFL Playoffs - 2007 Seahawks at Packers Game Highlights was released on:
USA: January 2007
Yes, the Tampa bay bucccanneers beat the Oakland raiders in 2002 or 2003. the odd thing about that game is that season, though random hirings and firings, the teams had swapped head coaches.
The Buccaneers won Super Bowl XXXVII on January 26, 2003 by defeating the Oakland Raiders, 48-21. The coaches did not "Swap" teams. Jon Gruden, who had been the coach of Oakland the year before, coached the Bucs. Bill Callahan, who was previously the Raiders Offensive Coordinator, coached Oakland. The out going coach of the Bucs was Tony Dungy, who went on to coach the Indianapolis Colts.
The NFL Playoff is a single elimination tournament. There are six teams from each conference in the playoffs. Four division winners and two "wild-card" teams. these six teams are seeded by their record. The top two teams have a first round bye.
The NFL Playoff system is a four game tournament culminating with the Super Bowl.
The top team in each Conference Division automatically qualifies for the playoffs. In addition, the two non-division winning teams with the best record qualify for the playoffs as wild card teams. The playoff tournamnet is a sudden death tournament. You lose, you go home.
Teams are seeded in the playoffs, ranked 1-6. Teams are seeded by division record, so the team with the best record is the seeded1st, the 2nd best record is seeded second, etc. Division winners are always seeded higher than wild card teams, regardless of record. The top two teams per conference (those teams with the best records) receive byes for the first round of the playoffs. The remaining teams, seeds 2-6, play in the first round of the playoffs.
The 1st round of the NFL Playoffs is known as Wild Card Weekend. In the wild card round Team 3 plays Team 6 and Team 4 plays Team 5. The higher seeded team is the home team. The winning teams advance to the Divisional Playoffs.
3rd Seed vs 6th seed
4th seed vs 5th seed
In the Divisional Round of the playoffs, The first and second seeds play. The number one seed plays the team with the lowest ranking.
1st seed vs lowest remaining seed
2nd seed vs highest remaining seed
The remaining teams in each Conference (the AFC and the NFC) square off for the conference title. The Winners of the Conference Championship will move on to the Super Bowl.
The AFC Conference Champion versus the NFC Conference Champion.
In 2011, the Detroit Lions finally broke futility and made the play-offs for the first time since 1999. They went 10-6 and finished 2nd in the NFC North, but made the wild card. They lost to the New Orleans Saints 45-28.

The AFC Championship will air on CBS on Sunday, January 23, 2011. The game will be between the NY Jets and Pittsburgh Steelers.
In 2000, the Lions went 9-7 but did not make the playoffs. The Vikings and Buccaneers, still part of the NFC Central, won the division, the Giants won the NFC, and lost to the Ravens in the Super Bowl.
Approximately 7% of all college football players get drafted into the NFL.
Most teams get to make the playoffs at 8&8 if that is your question?
The Steelers will keep their same roster they have used in their first two playoff games. The only exception will be Doug Legursky, who will replace starting center Maurkice Pouncey if he is unable to play. They had also hoped defensive end Aaron Smith would have been ready, but that didn't happen.
The NFL playoffs start Sunday, January 1st in 2012. Every year the playoffs for the NFL start at the same time. Then the playoffs continue even up to and past January 8th 2012.
Since the NFL went to it's current twelve game playoff format in 1990
eleven team who have been three games below .500 at any point during
the regular season have gone on to make the playoffs.
The last team to start the season 1-4 and make the playoffs were the
2002 NY Jets who not only made the playoffs but won the AFCE.
The 2008 Chargers are the only team since 1990 to ever be four games
below .500 at any point during the regular season and make the playoffs.
SD won the AFCW in a tie breaker with the Denver Broncos.
In 1971, the Washington redskins made the playoffs for the first time since 1944. that being said, they went from 1945 to 1970 without a postseason appearance
2001
This Question Can Be a "Matter of Opinion". EVERYONE Has a Favorite Team. I'm NOT Going To Put a Team's Name Here Because I Like That Team. What I Will Do Is Post Some Records:
ChampionshipsMost leauges have a cutoff date of eligibility. For example, Major league Baseball players must be on their team's roster by September 1st in order to be considered for the playoffs. Players added after that date would only be eligible in case of a rash of injuries, which of course no one would wish for.
Two wild card teams from each league makes the MLB playoff each year. As of 2012 there is a one game wild card playoff between the two best records in each league who didn't win their division.
The St. Louis Rams (fka the Los Angeles Rams) have appeared in the NFC Conference Championship Game 9 times. They are 3-6 in the NFCCG.

They have made the playoffs nineteen times with 20 playoff wins and three Superbowl wins.
So, for the first time in NFL history, a one-game playoff was staged on Dec. 18, 1932, to determine the league champion. In 1932, the first playoff game was played indoors at Chicago Stadium due to poor weather. The Bears won the league championship by beating the Portsmouth Spartans, 9-0.
Only one: the 2007 New England Patriots. Their only loss that season was the Super Bowl.
