You need to reflash your gameshark, but to do this you will need another working gameshark, hopefully you have a friend with one, or access to a friendly used game store. Once you get the working gameshark, follow their instructions here:

You can, but not by using the original GameBoy colour gamecards. You will have to download a digital version of the game off of the Nintendo eShop in order to play GameBoy colour games.

if your just want everything to be even, you can lightly sand it down until it is smoothe. if its a deep scratch (like you can put your fingernail in it) then you may be out of luck. you can fill it maybe. try somthing like plastic modeling glue. but all in all, sanding it down works. if you buy a new game boy, keep this in mind: that the best it will ever look. : D
