I would make sure you've been diagnosed with migraine. Hypertension can cause some nasty headaches and also causes nosebleeds.

Also, the pain of the migraine (or as an effect of migraine medication) could cause an increase in blood pressure can cause nosebleeds. You may want to investigate this possibility, because one type of migraine preventative involves different medications for high blood pressure.

I would also ask if you are taking any migraine abortives (or any other medication) nasally.

Certain other migraine preventatives dry out the mucous membranes causing a likelihood of nosebleed. It is also possible that, for you, the process of having a migraine dries out your mucous membranes temporarily.

Depending on the severity and frequency, the type of pain you're referring to is commonly associated with Migraine Headaches. Migraines frequently occur in the temple regions, base of the skull or neck, or in the forehead area. Aside from the pain, light sensitivity, blurred vision, nausea, dizziness, ocular artifacts (mini-objects moving across the eye or field of vision) and other symptoms often accompany a migraine. However, the best way to tell is that it feels like someone is constantly stabbing you in the temple with an icepick, and / or you just want to crawl into a deep dark hole and die.

There are many "triggers" for migraines - certain foods are the most common triggers, as are barometric changes in the weather (low pressure systems/storms), allergies, and even stress of any type. While there are many drugs on the market, for some like me, they don't work well or at all.

You can determine if a migraine is being caused by something you've eaten or drank recently by keeping track of what you ate in the hours prior to the onset of the pain. Some cheeses, dark red wines, MSG, etc., are very common migraine triggers.

I always get nose bleeds after eating garlic. About an hour after eating the inside of my nose swells and i cant breath through it. If i blow it i will have a nose bleed its awful as so many processed foods contain garlic traces - i try to eat only fresh produce when i can

If it's continually bleeding, you've damaged an internal process -- a bone and/or cartilage structure that is re-injuring the tissue. It's off to the ENT for you, as this often requires minor surgery. If it's off and on, you're still somehow re-opening a wound. Until it heals, avoid blowing your nose or pinching your nose. After 3 days though, it's time to see a doc. Note -- beyond the scope of first aid here.

There are a lot of reasosn why you would cough up blood.

But the main concern, and properbly the most dangerus, is Leukemia.

Leukimia is blood cancer which, like the name states, is cancer in your bloodcells (erythrocytes).

Quite simply the reason for this is the pressure that was built up due to the blood being backed up in your naval cavity is released. These two are obviously cloesly connected so there is you answer!!

If you notice that in extreme heat or extreme cold you experience nose bleeds typically it would be due to the air quality. Try applying a small thin layer of vaseline or use a nasal spray. If continues, seek doctor or professional help.

their nose bleeds are just like humans. If their nose bleeds happen to much go to the vet they might need to be put down meaning die or eles they will suffer in pain and die. Take your dog to the vet about 2-4 times a year

When you are trying to stop the bleeding of a cut you should apply pressure to the wound. If the blood keeps coming through do not remove the bloody gauze/tissue you just add another on top of it and apply more pressure. You should also try and reduce the blood flow in that area of the body. If you are unable to stop the bleeding by applying pressure, you should go to the doctor. You may need stitches.

pickin too deep. or if your not a picker bloody noses can be the result of a cold or other disease which would send me straight to my Doctor. Yes, picking too deep could be ONE problem, but it could also be due to dry air, allergies, a drug your taking, yes a cold, as well as many other things.
