Why does your nose bleed when you snort pain pills?

Inhaling any dry substance though the nose can cause a nose bleed due to the thin blood vessels that line the inside of the nasal passage. Also, if a pill is isn't completely powdered before inhalation, you will probably be left with sharp pieces that can easily tear into the blood vessel. WARNING: It is not recommended that you inhale ANY drug that is originally in pill form. The larger pieces of the unpowdered pill will not be broken down if they reach the lungs and can create scar tissue or even tumors.

Can a blood clot come out of your mouth after a nose bleed?

Recently, I had a clot in my mouth when I bit down on a breakfast bar and hit the upper front tooth with one of my lower teeth. The impact of the hit was severe and felt numb at first. The following day the pain started and swelling soon followed. I had to go to the dentist the following day to find out what the deal was. The dentist treated the area of the tooth for an infection and cleaned the gum line around the tooth after numbing the area. Apparently, I cracked the tooth and in the process, broke a blood vessel, which caused the swelling and discomfort. Thank goodness there was no infection, but to be on the safe side, I will continue the antibiotics. Since this occurred the roof of my mouth had a blister like swelling that was lanced to releive the pressure and build up of blood. Everything is fine and it reminded me how important it is to see my dentist on a regular schedule.

The blood clots are usually caused from a blunt trama to the teeth or gums. Possibly a reaction to metal, plastic, or a foreign body imbedded in the gums or tissue, but to be on the safe side, always consult your dentist and follow their instructions. It could be more serious than what happened to me.

How do you get random nose bleeds?

How can you stop a nose bleed?

Of course you should have clean tissues available to catch any of the dripping blood. (blood stains clothes)

Get a tissue box and put it by ur side (you will need it)

Pinch the cartiledge of ur nose (the middle part it kinda feels hard) from whatever nostril the blood is coming from. Pinch the nostril(s) so it is closed.(for about 5-10 minutes depending on how bad it is) Slightly tilt back but not so they blood goes down ur throat)

Avoid tilting ur head back because the blood drips down ur throat and trust me, IT'S NOT a good feeling.

BREATH! think calm thoughts, don't panic. Even if u hate blood don't panic because IT'S ALWAYS INSIDE OF UR BODY EVEN IF U DON'T KNOW IT!

* IF IT LASTS LONGER THAN 20 MINUTES CALL A DOCTOR! (If it goes too long u could loose too much blood)

Girl bleeds when you finger her?

Why does your son nose bleed all the time?

In little kids, the biggest reason is that they pick their noses. They irritate the mucous membranes, they scab or start to heal, the kids pick at them again, an there you have a nosebleed. Adults often get nosebleeds in dry climates because they have larger vessels near the surface and when it dries out the tissue forms little cracks and they have a nosebleed. Sometimes, though, they can be frequent or serioius enough that cauterization of the vessel may be necessary to prevent further bleeding. This happened to me after I had been on oxygen for a while and my airway was really dried out - no fun, but it really got bad. Unfortunately, there are some serious medical conditions that can cause frequent nosebleeds, so you can't just ignore it. If it happens a few times, and the usual causes explain it, you can probably just treat it and relax, but if it continues, you need to see a medical practitioner who can take a good hitory of the nosebleeds, do a good physical, and perhaps order tests to rule out the bad things. Better to know and have your son treated than to fret and worry and have him get worse. If you don't know how to treat a nosebleed, there are several good sites on First Aid that are easily found on most search engines. Most of their information is copyrighted, so I can't copy it here. Good luck.

Why does the nose bleed if you hit your head?

the nose should not bleed if the back (occipital region) of the head is struck. If this occurs after a blow to the rear of the head, it could indicate a more serious, internal injury may have occurred (possibly a skull fracture). If the individual lost consciousness during the event, that too is an indication that there could be more serious internal injuries. The nose usually bleeds after a direct blow, dried mucous membranes, or in some circumstances high blood pressure.

When your nose bleeds, The blood cloting is what eventually stops the bleeding. I am not a doctor but It seems logical that you would see blood clots if you did'nt allow the clot to stabalize and harden before blowing/picking your nose.

Hello.

This can be caused by the blood congealing in your nasal carriageway and coming out in clots. But see your doctor if its concerning you.
