Not sure where you are going with this but it sounds like we (man) will do as we see fit to do regardless of anything else. This is because of free will. We know what we should do but we don't always do it.
Free will is often controlled by excessive or premature desire. I may eat more ice cream than I should leading to becoming fat or unpopular since other people want to eat too. Or I may eat a food, or attempt to consummate a relationship before it is ripe leading to sickness or a rape charge. Free will really requires self-control (ie: maturity). If we are not responsible for our actions, then no good result can come as we did not follow the real moral law of our original human nature as children of God.

Who was the prophet asked by God to do strange things to illustrate God's word?
Ezekiel was told to eat a scroll and then go prophesy to Israel, Ezekiel 3:1. He was also told to construct a model of Jerusalem out of clay and then lay siege to it. Next, he was to lie on one side for 390 days eating only bread made from several types of grain (a thing forbidden in the Law) and baked with human excrement. When he objected to cooking with human excrement, God relented and let him use cow manure, Ezekiel 4. He also had to shave his head and beard and weigh the hairs. He was told to take one third of it and burn it, take one third of it and strike it with a sword and one third of it and scatter it to the wind, Ezekiel 5.
Hosea had to marry a prostitute and then name two of his kids "I have no pity" and "Not my people," Hosea 1.
Jeremiah had to make a yoke and wear it every day, Jeremiah 27.
These are just some of the weird things God has asked people to do.
Why was Adam able to live to 930 years old?
Christians who take the Bible very literally have offered a variety of attempted explanations, none of them very satisfactory. One of the most common such explanations is that the first humans had such perfect DNA that they could live almost forever, but that the DNA degraded after some generations, until humans could no longer live astonishing lifespans. That is pseudo-science and is not taken seriously by real scientists, who say that all the evidence available to them proves that early man lived for even shorter lifespans than we do today. These explanations assume that no one ever died of disease, accident or misadventure. Moreover, such incredible biblical lifespans seem to have been achieved only by the ancestors of the Hebrew people, with no suggestion anywhere in the Bible that the disparate ancestors of the Egyptians or other 'post-Flood' people lived such long lives.
It is useful to look at the biblical lifespan for the first man on earth in terms of numerology. First of all, the number 17 was important in Genesis genealogies, used in a variety of elegant arithmetic formulas. Adam's lifespan is based on the number 17 and can also be related to his immediate descendants by another series containing the number 17. Looking at the first five generations:
Name ........ Lifespan .. Pattern
Adam ....... 930 ..........7x9 + 51x17 [3x17x17]
Seth .......... 912 ..........5x9 + 51x17
Enos ......... 905 ..........8x9 + 49x17
Cainan ..... 910 ..........6x10 + 50x17
Mahalalel. 895 ..........5x9 + 50x17
Another relationship also exists between the first person in Genesis, Adam, and the last man in Genesis, Joseph:
Adam's life span of 930 years equals 302 + 30, and
Joseph has a life span of 110 years, which is 102 + 10.
What is the name of the golden calf?
The moon god went under different names at different times and in different regions. That the Hebrew people knew him by the name 'Sin' is attested in Exodus 17:1, "And all the congregation of the children of Israel journeyed from the wilderness of Sin ..." Theologians have long sought to identify the exact location of this wilderness, because they took a narrow and literalist view. The wilderness of Sin (ie the moon) is simply night time, and after several verses inserted late into the passage, the reason is clear. After leaving the widerness of Sin, Moses and Joshua fight the Amalek until going down of the sun.
However, there is no certainty that the Israelites only used the name Sin for the moon god. Some scholars believe that the stories of the Hebrew patriarchs originally developed out of a story of the moon god. On this view, 'Jacob' may have been a commonly used name for the moon god, represented by the golden calf.

Why do people believe Moses felt it necessary to repeat the laws in Deuteronomy?
The laws are repeated because the Pentateuch had several different authors, each of whom wanted to stress his own point of view. So when, for example, we find the Ten Commandments in the Book of Exodus, we then find a slightly different version in the Book of Deuteronomy.
Although the authors are anonymous, we now know that Moses did not really write the books of law. An anonymous author, now known as the Deuteronomist wrote Deuteronomy. The Priestly source wrote the Book of Numbers. And so on.

Did God make man in his image or did man make God in his image?
Clearly the standard answer from the Bible and most other historical and literary sources is that God made man in His image. However the wording of the question, and the fact that the author failed to capitalize "god" though it was used as a name, indicates that this person most likely disagrees with this answer and is instead raising a philosophical question. In other words, is God real, or did we make him up? (the questioner is clearly interested in the existence of the monotheistic God of Christianity, Judaism, or Islam, etc..., as the question refers to "god" in the singular and uses a familiar biblical phrase)
It certainly sounds like a reasonable hypothesis to say that humans could have made up a god to suit their needs; Needs for security, purpose, love, immortality. Of course most people throughout history and today, both educated and not so, have concluded that this hypothesis is incorrect. One cannot say this with scientific certainty, but one also cannot support this hypothesis with scientific certainty. In the end this question has been argued in one form or another for most of human history. A wiki answer will hardly be capable of touching on more than a small sliver of the evidence, which would not do justice to the question.
Good luck in your search.
