Well, other than screwing up your barrel, you will lose velocity because of that hole, the air that is propelling the paintball forward will now go in two directions instead of one, and you will lose power, speed, accuracy, and velocity in one fel swoop. It also depends on what barrel you are using.

Paintball lenses are rated much higher then airsoft lenses are. However your grill (the part over your nose and mouth) might have slots and holes that an airsoft pellet can get through.

If you are not trained on filling Co2 tanks (unlike HPA tanks) you should not attempt this, on risk of breaking the burst disks, or freezing your hand. An HPA tank however, you can simply hook up and fill.

All paintballs are oil based, but from some people i have played with they say they hate them, they say they break all the time in the gun but bounce off people. They also aren't very round and curve like crazy. But yes they are oil based.

For beverage CO2 tanks (2.5, 5, 10, 20lb) you can go to Fuller Fire and Safety on 2002 2nd Ave (very good customer service) and Columbus Fire and Safety 3101 Second Avenue (also good). Both will inspect your tank on first fill for a nominal fee, tag it, and fill it. Each year they will re-inspect your tank.

There are no cheap magazine fed guns unfortunately, but if you are willing to search and/or wait for a good deal you can find one for a much lower price than normal. I personally bought a rap4 marker used for around $300, and it works great for me even if it is a bit older.

A great deal to keep your eye out for though, is when rap4 events end. The company will refurbish all the rentals and sell them for very low prices. These basically brand new guns (used for 10 games tops) are around that $300 range, but they will be the top of the line.

My brother purchased one of these guns, and we have both tried it out. The guns work great, and it came with 2 extra magazines. All in all a great deal. The current big game they have planned is Operation: Endwar, which will be in early October. Keep an eye on this game, maybe even participate to try the gun out, and then shortly after, most rentals will be up on eBay.

An anti- siphon co2 bottle is a co2 bottle where a brass hose is pointing upwards, so liquid co2 will not enter the marker. A dovetail is a way of attaching your ASA (Air Source Adapter, aka where you screw your tank in). Instead of screws, a dovetail ASA is mounted using rails.

generally the iron sights at the front and back of the marker, if you line them up you will have an idea of where the paintball will go, but paintballs are very inaccurate so scopes or lasers or anything like them is pretty useless

Its regulator is not recomened for use with co2. On cold days it may gum up and jam, but it will not cause permenant damage to your gun.
