you can... have fun.... send pictures - cos the pressure coming out is about 150 PSI and might just blow your teeth into the back of your skull, but if needed, you CAN (in small bursts) breath directly from the tank. at depth burst air into the cup of your hand and breath indirectly off of that. but it is SOOO much easier and more fun to SCUBA if you have a regulator on the tank to bring the pressure down to Ambient pressure which is constantly changing by depth.

All Co2 tanks will fit any gun meant to be powered by Co2.

you can either take off the guns ASA and screw this on the top (do it slowly and keep hands away) or press the pin in (also will release freezing gas so it takes times)

Try snipping the screw. Alot of times, the stock screw is a bit longer then it needs to be. If this continues ship it back to Tippmann.

All of this should cost from $150- $300, it depends on what you but and where you buy it. Now a novice should not have to spend much on equipment. You need to keep your old equipment for as long asyou can. If you are a novice, you should just sell your old gun for less than what you bought it for, and get an electric marker. Then get the marker customized to where it can ramp all the time. This is good because you will not have to change the settings of the marker. Now, all of this custimizing and tunning will cost around $170. I recommend you buy a Smart Parts ION. They are realitively cheaper than most other electric guns. Their price ranges from $200-$300. If its any higher you are being cheated out ofa good gun. So all in all a novice should spend around $300-$550 on a brand new paintball gun. (That is if you like to go cheap, there are some guns that cost over $1,000!)

It would probably work, but it would ruin some part of your gun. You could freeze the paintballs if you wanted to. That would work just as good as a marble.

In high-end guns, and I am assuming you are referring to electronic guns, dwell generally refers to an electronic adjustment, that controls how long a solenoid is energized for.

In many high end, electronic guns, the solenoid is itself a type of valve, and supplies air to a ram or bolt kit to cycle the marker. In the case of a ram or rammer operated marker, the ram will actuate a hammer that hits a valve and then holds it open. So as with your mechanical marker, the dwell time will have a direct effect on how long the valve stays open - the longer air is supplied to the ram, the longer it will push forwards and hold the valve open.

In a spool valve marker, the ram and bolt are combined in to a single unit, and air from the solenoid pushes the bolt forwards, which in turn releases air to fire the ball. Assuming that the bolt can free flow, and isn't firing from a fixed volume of air (depends on the design of the spool valve) then the longer the bolt is in the forward position, the more air will be released.
