If you cut the parakeets wing to much will the parakeets wing grow back?
i have cut my budgies wings a little bit to far, but it still grew, but very slowly.
I have, 2 parrots,6 lovebirds, 8 budgies, and 1 conure baby birds.
Parakeets are birds. They do not get pregnant, as reproduction is done through the laying of eggs. The eggs take about three weeks to form properly in the body, but this is not called "pregnancy". They look the same when they are laying eggs as when they aren't. In other words, birds don't "hold" their eggs inside their bodies and show a big belly to indicate that eggs are on the way. The egg shell is the last thing that develops right before the egg is laid, therefore, a hen doesn't "show" in the sense that human women "show" when they are pregnant.
Birds which are getting close to laying an egg become more lively, excitable and playful, and they may be more aggressive and territorial. If they have a nesting box, they will spend a lot more time in the box, preparing it for nesting, and possibly being very protective of that area. If there is a male, he may start feeding the female.

How often do you have to clean your budgie cage?
You put the seed dish in its cage full of seed, and then you leave it there all day. Then, the next day you change out the seed, and fill the whole dish with seed and leave it there all day. Of course, you can always wait till the dish is halfway filled and then change it, but it is healthier the other way.
Can you put quaker parrots and parakeets in the same cage?
They can. Under certain circumstances.
It would be much easier if they were both chicks or younglings growing up together, as they will see one another as siblings.
Parrotlets are very territorial birds with a big attitude and tend to have "grumpy periods" on some days. A parrotlet can easily break the beak, leg or wing of a budgie. A broken wing can be repaired fine. But a broken leg or beak can make their life too difficult (bird legs are usually too thin to be repaired by a vet).
You can try having the parrotlet and budgie together in the same room under your supervision to see what happens. Keep your eye on the parrotlet for aggressive behaviour. Budgies themselves are not aggressive or territorial, so they will not attack.
If they don't seem to get along, buy separate cages, have one bird in each cage, then place the cages next to each other, forcing the two birds to be neighbours but out of each others reach. Over time they will learn to tolerate each other and may even be witnessed chirping at each other.
Once they seem to get along as neighbours, try again with them together.
If they are housed together, the cage should be relatively tall or wide, so there is plenty of space for them without any arguing over who gets to sit where. There should also be more than one feeding bowl, because remember it is the parrotlets nature to be territorial, they cannot help the way nature made them to be. You can domesticate and train a dog, but at the end of the day it will always still have the instincts of a wild fox/wolf.
Always keep a close eye on them when they are being taught to get along. If the budgie ends up being bullied, remove him/her from the parrotlet. Depressed birds will pull their own feathers out. If fighting takes place, protect the budgie, because it is the weaker and most defenceless one.
They can be taught to get along, but it will take time. It would be much easier if they were chicks growing up together.
Not in Australia. Budgies are very commonplace in Australia, and are therefore not classed as exotic. They are not native to any other country, so theoretically should be classed as exotic overseas. However, because they are popular worldwide, they are often no longer regarded as exotic.
When a baby parakeet bites you does it hurt?
Parakeets bite for many reasons. Did you just get your parakeet and he is scared? Perhaps your parakeet is very protective over a certain toy. It could also be because they are pregnant or are protective of it's other parakeet friend. Are you feeding your parakeet? Cleaning his cage, feeding him things other than seeds? You have to put yourself in your parakeets shoes, because depending on an individual bird they may bite for various reasons.

How can you tell if your parakeet is going to die?
A health parakeet will have shiny feathers, clear eyes, shiny beak, and a cere that is free of drainage. A fluffed parakeet that sits at the bottom of the cage is very sick and needs attention immediately.
Why does my parakeet have a green Beak?
I dunno, but my parakeet happens to have the same problem too, does urs happen to be a male too like mine....
anyways in an article I've read it said that this might be fungus or bacteria
but the pet shop owner said it was normal, and that most of the male parakeets he has have green beaks while the female's are orange
Is it OK to put two female parakeets in one cage?
Yes. A male and a female cockatiel would be best to share a cage. If you put two males or two females together, they may fight. You don't have to worry about a male and a female breeding if they are in the same cage. Cockatiels won't breed unless there is a nesting box attached to the cage.
Why did your parakeets stop chirping?
Do you know if your budgie is a male or female? Females are generally much more quieter than males, however if your bird is very social and talkative and suddenly he/she has stopped for the past few days, I'd take them into the vet, he could be ill.
Good luck!
Can parakeets eat salmon cream cheeze?
I don't recommend it because it wouldn't be good for their digestive systems and could probably get very sick.

What country do parakeets live in?
There are several different species of conure, all of which have different natural ranges. In general, conure species can be found living wild from Mexico down to the southern regions of South America. There used to be a conure species native to the United States, called the Carolina Parakeet, but it was hunted to extinction in the early 20th century. At the moment, there are feral (the descendants of escaped pet birds) conure colonies living in many cities in the United States and even some of the southern parts of Canada. The book and documentary film "The Wild Parrots of Telegraph Hill" tells about a feral conure colony in San Francisco.
Firstly, there is no actual species of bird called a "parakeet". The term "parakeet" is a generalised term to cover numerous species of smaller, long-tailed parrots, such as budgies, cockatiels and lorikeets.
To answer the question: yes, these small parrot can hear very well. All birds have acute hearing - it is part of their necessary survival strategy.
What is the population of the budgerigar?
No one can say for sure how many budgies there are in the world. They originate from Australia, where it is believer that the wild population exceeds 5 million. Being the most popular breed of pet bird in the world, their numbers probably well and truly surpass that number.
Why do parakeets balance on one leg?
Birds don't lie down when they rest, so they spend most of their time standing. They will tuck up one leg to give it a break, and usually switch to the other leg after a while. Tucking up one leg serves the same purpose as a person sitting down on a chair to rest, birds just have to do it one leg at a time.
Yes but only raw.
Not true...budgies can eat vegetables in any form, raw, boiled, steamed etc. Different budgies prefer different presentations. Mine like their broccoli raw, sweet potato cooked please!
