Peace brings stability, security, and harmony to individuals, communities, and nations. It allows for cooperation, development, and progress to thrive in society. It also promotes overall well-being and reduces the likelihood of conflict and violence.
According to me 'PEACE' are not just the words of saying. It
can only be determined by action or the initiatives taken by us to spread world peace....Always
be eager to participate in each and every activity that promotes further world peace.I
know we all have that ability (to spread peace),just
we need to recognize it in ourself. We
can spread the importance of peace through some thought pro-working
speeches and making people realise the importance of peace as it has also become part of our daily life....'THE
GREAT AND HUGE CHANGES CAN ONLY BE MADE BY TAKING OUR FIRST STEP TOWARDS OUR MISSION'.......Bring
about peace in your society first, then
only you can change the thinking of your statesmen, then
your countrymen's
and then the whole world.............

What was the goal of the Paris Peace Conference?
The goal of the Paris Peace Conference was to negotiate peace treaties between the Allied and Central Powers after World War I. It aimed to establish terms for peace, create new boundaries, and address issues such as reparations, territorial adjustments, and the establishment of the League of Nations.
Peace can contribute to hope by creating a stable and secure environment that allows individuals to dream and work towards a better future. However, hope can exist even in the absence of peace, as it is a personal belief or feeling that things will improve or change for the better. Peace and hope are interconnected but can exist independently as well.
Why is there no such thing as world peace?
There is such thing but at this moment in time it is unattainable. The idea of world peace is considered good although unlikely in our atomic age world
There will be many challenges and deaths and incomplete journeys before anyone will ever decide that it is the right time for peace. Since not one person in the world has ever been flawless, peace has never been achieved. As the world grows older, people will disappear and appear again until there is no more universe, no more earth. We can try to help one another and love each other, hard as it is, but world peace is infinitely complicated and impossible.
The Saxons were a Germanic people who engaged in both peaceful and warlike activities. While they had peaceful settlements, they also participated in conflicts and raids against neighboring groups. Their society was structured around warfare and had a strong martial culture.
Peace Symbol Created (1958); In 1958, British artist Gerald Holtom drew a circle with three lines inside, intending the design to be a symbol for the Direct Action Committee Against Nuclear War (DAC). The design incorporates a circle with the lines within it representing the simplified positions of two semaphore letters (the system of using flags to send information great distances, such as from ship to ship). The letters "N" and "D" were used to represent "nuclear disarmament." (The "N" is formed by a person holding a flag in each hand and then pointing them toward the ground at a 45 degree angle. The "D" is formed by holding one flag straight down and one straight up.)
What is good about world peace?
When speaking of "world" peace, when was that time you are speaking about? I do not believe there was ever a time when the entire world was at peace. This plane is not intended for that purpose in point of fact. The "peace" [or lack of conflict and anxiety] of which you speak comes to those who have lived very good lives on the physical plane after they die, and are allowed to spend some time in some heaven on the Astral region of Creation, between lives.

Why does the peace sign stand for peace?
The peace sign is actually the symbol of nuclear disarmament. The symbol is made up of 2 "semaphoric" letters. ("N" and "D".) The meaning was later translated to mean "peace".

EDIT: It also is the symbol of Emperor Nero. He killed many christians. http://www.Jesus-is-savior.com/False%20Religions/Wicca%20&%20Witchcraft/peace_sign.htm check that site
The peace sign also has meaning for the Nazi party and the Occult. "Known as the 'peace sign' throughout the 1960's and into the present day, this symbol is the Teutonic rune of death. 1950's peace advocate Gerald Holtom may have been commissioned by communist sympathiser Bertrand Russell to design a symbol to unite leftist peace marchers in 1958. It is clear that either Holtom or Russell deemed the Teutonic (Neronic) cross as the appropriate symbol for their cause. Not only was it ordered by Hitler's National Socialists that it must appear on German death notices, but it was part of the official inscription prescribed for the gravestones of Nazi officers of the dread SS. The symbol suited Nazi emphasis on pagan mysticism.''
The peace symbol (also called the "broken cross," "crow's foot," "witch's foot," "Nero Cross," "sign of the 'broken Jew,'" and the "symbol of the 'anti-Christ''') is actually a cross with the arms broken. It also signifies the "gesture of despair," and the "death of man.'' With the arms of the cross raised in an upright position, it is "a Pythagorean emblem of the course of life, in the form of a rising path with fork roads to Good and Evil.'' It also signifies fertility, but with the arms pointing downward, it denotes evil and death.
"In fact, the inverted 'Man-rune'--the figure encircled in the common sign which the Communists tell us means 'peace'--has for centuries been a favourite sign of Satanists.'' Throughout the last 2,000 years this symbol has designated hatred of Christians. Nero, who despised Christians, crucified the Apostle Peter on a cross head downward. This hideous event resembled the Teutonic cross and became a popular pagan insignia of the day. Thereafter, this sign became known as the 'Neronic cross.'
Anton LaVey, the founder of the Church of Satan, used the peace symbol as the backdrop for his altar.
One former witch makes the following comment about the peace symbol: "It is an ancient and powerful symbol of Antichrist. During the dark ages it was used in Druid Witchcraft and by Satanists of all sorts during the initiation of a new member to their order. They would draw the magic circle and give the initiate a cross. The initiate would then lift the cross and turn it upside down. He would then renounce Christianity in all three dimensions (sic) of time (past, present and future) and break the horizontal pieces downward forming the design of the 'Raven's Foot.' This ugly symbol is nothing short of blasphemy against the Holy Ghost. For one to wear or display this symbol is to announce either knowingly or unknowingly that you have rejected Christ. Remember, symbolism is a picture language, and a picture is worth a thousand words.''

Most of what is in this answer after the first part about nuclear disarmament is highly suspect. Funny that the wikipedia page says nothing of Nero and only mentions some radical christians CLAIMING it has ties to the Nazis. This is all likey drummed up by zealotous simpletons who have nothing better to do with their time.

Fear is not absoutely necessary to establish or maintain peace. Unfortunately, many governments use fear tactics as a way to control their people. The idea is that if people are afraid, they will look to a source of strength (i.e., the government) to protect them. Consequently, when the perception of a strong government saturates societal thinking, it appears unwise to argue or fight against it. People become afraid of the very government that protects them. Because they fear their government, they do nothing (i.e., "keep the peace").
Peace is simply an absence of war or other hostilities, an agreement or a treaty to end hostilities, freedom from quarrels and disagreement, away from all the troubles and politics. Peace is very difficult to achieve now a days because of the greedy human behavior in countless numbers of people, this could be changed only if we can control our temptation to gain power. Peace does not last for a long period of time because of the politics and quick changes of behavior in humans. So why is it good? Obviosly because there is no hatred, no quarrels and issues but only happiness and harmony allover the world.
Were the Saxons peaceful and civilised?
Well, you have to look into the topic with more depth. You need to ask yourself different questions to come to your conclusion. Ask yourself: -Did the Saxons establish towns/villages -Did they have a law/government or any structured society -Did they adapt any particular religion, or did they have any religion at all -Were they involved in any agricultural things, e.g, farming -Did any of the artifacts they possessed hold any evidence that they were peaceful, i.e, did these artifacts hold any signs of beauty, or quality Once you have found the answers to these questions, mainly via research, only then will you come to a conclusion. I hope this was of any help, Cameron Ibrahim, 15
