NO, SHE IS NO LONGER WITH US, SHE DIE IN 2020 AND I JUST FOUND THIS OUT TODAY. I WANTED TO LOOK HER UP AND SEE WHAT SHE LOOKED LIKE TODAY. SHE WAS 70 YEARS OLD. DIDNT MENTION ANY ILLNESS OR ACCIDENT. BEAUTIFUL SISTER, I REMEMBER ALL THE SISTERS TRYING TO GET THEIR HAIR LIKE HERS. I WENT TO ONE OF THEIR CONCERTS WITH MY SISTER, AND I HAD CHILDREN'S BLOCKS BRAIDED INTO MY HEAD, TRYING TO COPY HER. 43 YEARS LATER, I REALIZED HOW STUPID I LOOKED. AND I LOOKED NOTHING LIKE HER PROFESSIONALLY DONE HAIRSTYLE, THAT I JUST LOVE TO THIS DAY. REST IN PEACE BEAUTIFUL SISTER WITH THE ANGELIC VOICE.😢😭🤧😇👼🏽

Yes, you can grow it from the stone, but you need to break the stone open and remove the smaller, almond-like kernel.
Take the kernel plant it in a small dish filled with moist peat or other seed starting medium. Put this in the refrigerator for a few weeks to simulate winter. This helps the seed break dormancy.
Remember to keep it moist. When you start to see roots, it is safe to put it out. Alternately you can plant it directly into a large pot (I use a ten gallon tree pot) that will stay outside all winter. Next spring, your seedling should pop up. Make sure you protect the tender new seedling from any below-freezing nights.
